If on a tight budget use “gumtree”, you can get single room accommodation (or flat share) or you can try Property24. But once you the landlord or agent for view, go with colleagues that are familiar with the area.

while you looking for cheap accomodation, be careful. my candid advise.

I was not refused at any point, applied once and got it after waiting for 24 weeks from the day of submission. SA Long visa is really tough to get.

Here's what I would advise u..
One month before ur visa expires whilst u in the country.. just go for visa extension

You may not change status from visit/tourist visa within the Republic, you have to return to your Republic to do that.

Yes they always say that officially but it's been done. So yes u can change to student permit if your link is strong
