I only the full refund if the there is a mismatch in the model number but now you have said it’s for the first TV and not the second one. I believe we can all come to a just decision but the truth is that you will have to bear the loss the most. It’s unfavorable but that’s just business. You win most and lose some.

Now that he can't fix an obviously reworked TV he wants to share the cost of screwn replacement which he said is 150k!!

I have lost confidence in his words or business ethics and would want a full refund.. I am also into business as an invertee installer thats why I was patient with him all through till he ran to NL to cry, hoping he can twist the story to his favour first.

The only inconsistency here is the 49" against the 50".

That has brought about a room for doubt. Sadly Oga Alabaconnect, in this life we win some and we lose some. I'd advice you consider this as a loss to keep your already about to be dented image please.

I sold an Openbox 50" Samsung set to someone here(I know him as tripple) around January and a day or 2 after he complained that the tv is going off and on. For a tv I bought Openbox, I don't expect it to even bring up such issues as I test most of my sets for days before even posting online. I asked if he is using on gen and if he is using a surge on it and his reply was that he was using an inverter to power his sets. I asked him not to connect the tv to a power source so it doesn't affect anything. For a set he had barely used, I asked a driver to go over to his place and pick up.
The tv got to my place the next day as the driver couldn't meet up the day before. I tested the tv throughout and it didn't at any point go off. I told him that he should check his inverter or his wiring as the tv is solid. I had another Openbox 50" set which I just gave him so I won't have to stress the whole situation.
A Customer(I think a Nairalander too) paid for the same set which I sent off the next day and till this day, he hasn't had any issue on it.

Fastforward to now and he called to say the second tv set I gave him had started doing the same thing for a while. I told him that it's not possible and I requested for an image or a video. He sent a video of which I acknowledged and apologised for any likely inconveniences but I still tried to ask him to still confirm if this thing is not from his end as the last set I sold is still in perfect condition. I asked another driver to bring the set so I can check again.

Personally, Anything Tokunbo TV from Alaba, Same thing with Tokunbo Phones from Computer Village. Too many Evils going on in those two Places. I have had Horrible Experiences most especially at that Computer Village. Some people are very Heartless.

I won't Near these two Places with a long feet Pole no matter how sweet the deal Is. Except I am directly shipping It myself or through a very trusted relative. Some of those TVs have been Opened and Worked on at Alaba, Same thing goes with the Phones. It's just like all those Tokunbo Motors where you will hear Non-Accidented, Clean Title etc.

Then What sometimes surprises me Is that, As an Individual, If you can afford to buy a Used Tv for 200k+. Why don't you Close eyes to buy a New One even If it cost X2. Doing that will make you have Peace of mind. I understand the Tokunbo TVs are High Standard Grade TVs. But does one know the History of the TV?

I can buy Tokunbo of other Appliances like Fridge, AC etc without getting too worried but TV? Nah. To each its own.

The story is getting too long. He should Refund you without delay.

Sometimes the new ones too will give you headaches, I have to return a new fridge to Fouani in the past after two weeks of purchase.
Electrical appliances are very delicate especially LED smart TV, vibration when transporting the TV set alone can damage the screen.

One thing I can deduce in all of these.. in life we win and sometimes lose but in the Tokunbo/Open box/ UK used etc business, I’m not sure there’s a 100% refund policy, 80/20 is fair enough or @Alabaconnect stop playing with the young man and give him another very good TV.

Some weeks ago, people were hyping you as the best tokunbo TV seller on this thread.. Trust me, a good name will bring you more referrals than this problem you’re having now.

Dear Nairanlanders,
Thank you very much for justly looking into this issue between ALABACONNECT and I. I have received calls from some well meaning persons here as well as read the suggestions of others on here either for a full refund, a replacement TV from him, splitting the payment for a replacement screen or partial refund.

While I can drag this case to any level to get my full refund, I like to be mature about certain things and also cut my losses and move on. I DON'T, i repeat I DON'T TRUST ANYTHING HE SENDS TO ME AGAIN. I don't want any Tv from him wether replacement screen with shared cost or replacement TV.....I don't like stress.

I will in good fate accept 80% refund of my 190k which amounts to #152k paid at once, not in bits else the money will be wasted, and leave him to karma to either vindicate or vilify.

All I ever wanted was a good TV I can come to and watch once in a while or have others enjoy, not this stress that is threatening my blood pressure.

I when a particular monicker here, can't his name, was accused of having scammed someone with a TV issue and many monickers then came and started talking about how Alabaconnect is very trustworthy and that it's Alabaconnect or nothing. Now here we are......... I'm not saying Alabaconnect is guilty but another variation is repeating itself again. Yes, bro. We have done business before. I came with my dad to purchase a TV from you in March 2019 and I used that TV till last year April when it packed up due to screen issue. I have dropped good reviews for you 3 times: 1 on the thread i bought the TV on and the other 2 on this clearance thread.

But looking back and also reading up reviews from other customers, I think I was either plain lucky or you were still playing by the good books then because records show you were just new to the business then

I read that thread and all the hard evidences (call log, recordings and chats) that customer presented against you and it was very clear that your actions were premeditated, came with a fraudulent intent and you have applied that same template over and over again to unsuspecting customers, otherwise how do we explain your boldness in asking the customer whether he has a good lawyer despite the game you were playing, or you presenting a TV at half the price to hoodwink him into making payment, or you ignoring his chats and calls after he paid, or you sending him a damaged TV, or you saying you would pin the damage on him for supposedly pressuring you with calls, or you saying you will pay him in bits in 3 months.

Be grateful that customer wasnt vindictive and ego-bruised enough to still press charges even after you refunded him else, with the right connections, you would have done some time.

I dont know what your definition of being "big" is, but if the source of your "bigness" is through fraudulent means like this, then karma is patiently waiting for you. And in the event that you genuinely repent in the future, you will be required to do restitution as fruits of genuine repentance.
