Anyone with a used hybrid or standalone inverter you'd like to sell? Preferably 3.5kva and above.

I got this 24V 2.5KVA Afriipower inverter late January, about a week ago, I changed over to use Public power while I was only charging the batteries with the inverter and charge controller via the s. Immediately they took away public power, the inverter started showing "short circuit, system shutdown"... It refused to power anything after that... I thought it was the fused that got blown, but the fuses are good... Tested them with multimeter and even replaced them with the spare that came with the product... Still the inverter refused to power anything.

I feel sad.

Please is there a better but cheaper brand of inverter of same spec I should go for?

Also, would taking this one for fixing be cost effective than buying a new and different brand inverter?

I bought the inverter 140k and it's bad barely two months.... Not like it was even connected to the load in the house when the incident happened.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Sorry about this situation, bro. But I suspect this could be an error code that can be cleared. Once had a similar experience with a 24v Luminous inverter I had back then.

Check the manual to see if there is a list of error code. Also check Youtube as well. Someone may have made a video about it. As a last resort, if you bought it directly from the distributors, you may want to activate your warranty/ clause(s) with them.

It is also a very good idea to go solar. With properly sized and positioned s and a good charge controller as well, your batteries would begin charging as early as 6:45 - 7am, once the faintest ray of sunlight emerges.

Dont wait till you have all the money to go solar. Start buying the components gradually because their prices are on steroids and yeasts - they rise everyday! 6mm3 cable wey I buy 900/yard last year, i nearly got a heart attack when they quoted 1,600/yard in Arena a few weeks back. And you will need several yards.

You can reach me also for a budget but effective MPPT controller that comes with a complementary DC breaker

Tell your installer to Take it to their service
center. He can give u a temporary inverter to use pending wen it would be fixed( that's what we do anyway).

Many thanks for your observation and thoughts...

Using the basic phone com followed by my feasibility study, the sun rises and sets right along the fence precisely from left to right wing of the s standing i from of them. With that, am not sure the barb wires will cast a single shadow on the s, atleast I observed the sun rise to sun set yesterday being "SUNDAY"...

Secondly, there is no single cable running on the s... Each is just divided into two equal halves by design, I guess that's what you see and assumed to be a running cable...

But one question please, I noticed my yield is generated and rated in UNIT. And this is not so convenient for me to understand or convert...

The make/Brand is HV version of Ashapower... Got it directly from India...

As per the LV Cable you sighted, I can tell you, the distance between the s and those over head cables is the height of an adult which means the shadow thins out if it lands/cast on the s so that can not be an issue in my opinion...

The mantims guy is a scam! I have bought both cells and packs severally from @Valto, no issues at all, he sells Grade A verifiable from the QR code. I've had to peel off the cover on one of his cells to see if there's a trick underneath but all came out fine.

I have no idea what grade this @mantims sells, but definitely not a veritable sales, I began suspecting him when he said he doesn't like selling cells, only built packs which he doesn't expect or want you to open. What's he hiding He gave 3 years warranty, ofcourse used cells will survive this under moderate use, digging deeper into some of his d pictures on here, I found out the QR codes are absent.

I've ed the marketer I bought it from on their website and he is saying that their warranty does not cover burnings of components but that I should still send them the stabilizer

Do you have any idea how long it takes for them to fix it?

I exactly asked myself this same question. and asked the person as well. what else happens to a stabilizer asides a burnt component? after sales service for Nigerian establishments who just order components and couple in the country.

Reason: the components inside failed, hence it's not covered .
