Hi guys, yesterday I was offered an ission to study gerentology at Lakehead University. But to my surprise I saw a caveat in it. I have a pay a non-refundable fee of 1k CAD which will be part of my first semester school fees to book my space. And I was giving 30days to make this payment or I loose my spot.

Please guys is this the right thing to do? Has anyone here gotten ission from this school? I’m a bit confuse hear and I need advice.

The Hectic Point;
After completing medicals on the 2nd of Sept. 2022, spouse and kids medicals were updated within hours. On the 17th spouse got PPR, mine and kids got withheld, boom.....letter for repeat of medical (sputum & X-ray) for TB investigation flew in via email from London. I was given 90days as usual. 22nd of Sept. i went for the sputun deposition, was told to wait for 8-10wks. 19th of December, i called IOM only to be told to wait till 22nd, but then i had already perceived the sputum culture results were -ve. The lady told me i must obey the instruction, that infuriated me, instantly i threatened them with a lawsuit, "BOOM".......they immediately sent my sputum -ve result and instantly booked me for repeat X-ray on the 20th of December 2022 (2days before their stipulated due date - 22nd), only to find out the sputum -ve result had been released to them by the physician 26days aback but they kept it with them. 20th i turned up, was made to hands-up for almost 45mins for shut after shut to an extent my hands lost stimulus. Meanwhile i had gone through same "bruhaha" on the 2nd of Sept i went with family, as they had to call me back 5x for repeat of X-ray. Fast forward, IOM physician ordered me to consult a Specialist Pulmonologist for details lungs examination, which i did instantly (US$100) per hour was the cheapest i got. Baba Pulmonologist invited me on the 22nd of December 2022 for the examination, did all and drafted his findings as "No TB symptoms or any suggestive finding". Boomm.....baba Pulmonologist ordered me to another allied but next door X-ray centre. The X-ray was performed but burnt onto a CD plate, sealed and handed to me to return to the baba Pulmonologist. Went back and he reviewed the film on his computer, still nothing suggestive of TB. Boom, baba Pulmonologist referred me to the country's TB centre for Tuberculin skin/Mantox test (injection with Purified Protein Derivative/PPD). Rushed there but they had knocked off for the day. "23rd na me wake dem up", took the shut, it swelled up but flattened after 15mins. Was instructed to return in the next 72hrs for review of the injection site and certification . 26th of December, "Boxing Day" na me still wake dem up. The nurse checked and found the injection site vanished, consequently issued a PPD -ve certificate. Immediately i forwarded it to IOM, cc to Baba Pulmonologist and bombarded IRCC both via webforms and emails, engaged the Kitchener MP Hon. Mike's office as well, his office acted on it right away because they had been following up with the IRCC right from the 85th day post submission of our apps. Hon. Mike's office responded within 24hrs with the update given by the IRCC. 3wks later, PPRs rained in. Can't even feel those tamtrums that transpired.

I have a peculiar situation and I would love your help please. I didn’t consider going the school route until last month (I was hoping to try express entry again ), so I went ahead to apply to Conestoga college and I got ission for May 2023 . I am to make payment for first semester by March .

Now these are my questions and concerns;
- I intend to go with my kid (less than a year) and my husband. How much do we need in total
- I intend to get the POF from a family friend . Since I don’t have six months for the money to sit in my , do I tell them to sponsor me instead .

you can notify IRCC with your new LOA when you receive it, it does not affect your submission for stamping. Check the letter sent notifying your of your PPR for the list of documents you need to submit with your port.

Evening lovely People..I just got my PPR yesterday,but my LOA has expired since January 9 2023 and I have been asked to submit my port for stamping between now and 30 days..I have written my school since last month to renew my application for September 2023 intake and they haven't sent me new LOA till this moment.. And my International port will expire May 2024..If I take my port to embassy for stamping within the 30 days that I was instructed,how many month stamped visa will be on my port. And if luckinly I receive a new LOA before the 30 days,will I need to inform IRCC before I take my port to the embassy or is it advisable I inform them after my Visa has been stamped.Please I need response on this.

I have mentioned it here in the past for anybody applying for ission, always confirm that the school you are applying to is a DLI and they offer PGWP after your studies..

Most applicants are blinded by how cheap a school is and not looking at if the school is DLI or not which is very important.

Note: Not al schools in Canada are DLIs, so make sure you all do your assignments before applying to a school for your ission..

Get your port stamped first.
Then send a webform to update you information. Your Visa can always be extended with the new information provided.

I have a female friend, a divorcee with 2 kids.
She was given study permit for a program in Canada (2yrs) and she is going alone. Her kids are with her exhusband's parents. She has a good relationship with them but the agreement is that after she is through with school and obtained extension to work, she will come and pick them.

I want to her as her dependent just to use the opportunity to leave. We both agreed but we don't know what it will take and the requirements.

Like what is the possibility it will work considering we are not married nor living together and we have no evidence to show we are lovers? We both don't plan to settle down. I am 8years younger than her.

In a situation where D main applicant which is me, d woman have an investment finance (fixed deposit) in her name and the investment is still running and my husband is my dependent, will it work if we use that as our POF for my study since I didn’t liquidate it before applying for visa? I am going through alot of mental stress right now, UKVI has really dealt with me so badly without committing any crime. I applied for a student visa, priority to be precise, bio was done on 20th of January, decision was made on 23rd January and I got BRP mail on 26th of January but could you believe that since then ukvi refused to send my port back to TLS for collection, I have been battling with this for long, I keep going to IKEJA TLS but the truth is even the so called TLS are not ready to help and now my school told me not to bother coming again even if my port is return back to me. Right now I want to ask, can ukvi be sue and also how can I request for my IHS refund? Please house help me

My uncle wch is my mothers younger brother wish you sponsor me and he is ready to deposit my first tuition in my only.
