He became Governor, bid his time bringing in Buhari not because they share the same ideology but rather because he saw Buhari as a means to an end; that end being becoming president himself and thereby restructuring the entire polity of the Nigerian state. While VP Atiku AbuBakar left for Dubai after Buhari's 2015 win and Peter Obi took time off politics to attend to his private businesses, Bola Ahmed Tinubu continued hatching his plans by putting key men and women into positions of influence and power to smoothen his ascension when the time, which is now, comes. Indeed, diligence is its own reward. If he wins on Saturday regardless of how his ticket is structured Nigeria will be the better for it. For a man like Tinubu, religion is a luxury he can't afford. Nigerians should rather learn from his fortitude, maybe then we can become a better people for isn't it said there is an element of good even in something evil. May the days to come favour us all.
