Iqbal played 6 in the last match and he performed well. Mainoo seems ok with 8. He has the skills, strength to play the position. Mejbri seems more attacking minded to me than the duo. Though I agree he is suited to 8 as well.

Infact i think he was an AM/Winger for the Under-16s because the first time i saw him 2 seasons ago he was a RW for the Under-18 and i wasn't really impressed until i realized he was only 15. The next season he came back as a CM and dominated the Under-18s as a 16yr old.

Mainoo is best classified as 8 same as Hannibal. But mainoo has a higher ceiling. He's good with ball progression and carries the ball well. Him and Hannibal are physically ready. Igbal is good but I don't know if he can survive the premier League

I watched him against Everton and he seemed to seat deep and just orchestrate the play. I understand that youth midfielders are educated in playing most roles within the midfield for versatility purposes

If you watch him in the academy you would see that like Mikechinos said he is a very good with ball progression. He is playing smart at the moment because he is settling into the senior team. Academy wingers like Garnacho can come in and be trying all their skills but the fastest way to chop permanent bench as a youth midfielder is to be trying risky es and risky dribbles.

Iqbal is not very good as run progression though he can play progressive e quite well when he decides to. Mainoo can do both run and progression very well. He can also sit as a 6 on the odd occasion cos he can tackle and has good defensive discipline unlike the other 2. His skillset as a midfielder is complete in that he can do everything well, just that the others might be more excellent in a particular skill.

Afrodoc2..... do you see Iqbal as No. 6 or as No. 8? To me, Mainoo has locked down No. 8 already and Amad is coming to possibly fight for No. 10.

I do not see future for Mejbri at United. He is talented but that position is loaded already, except he can play 10 which I hope.

igbal is 8 also but the two of them has higher skill set to succeed. For ten hang to choose mainoo who is far younger ahead of igbal shows he's more talented. I watched some of our youth games I really love what I see in mainoo
