Nigeria is currently undergoing hyperinflation, when you add into the mix that of the macroeconomic shock of electioneering activities into the system then you are looking at a super event of an hyper inflation....You think it's bad now? See you when dollar hits 1500. Thus changing the currency adds a wedge to the equation for the time being as Naira becomes scarce, it becomes valuable, goods and services are largely maintain at same rate or even less rate than before especially agricultural goods for the time being... Although with the way CBN implemented this is akin to demolishing a burning building just to put out the raging fire.
