What is the guarantee that he will be a able to Japa or get job in those countries?

The key word is "IF" And in Life nothing is certain.. even the cloth we are putting on...the air we breathe. etc.

Though Google can help answer the question that you seek... Google New Zealand or Australia...And check the profession that are kind of shortage ... Farming and Agriculture are there... Many of their Citizens doesn't want it.. so yea..

I need a course in the STEM field.

Bro go with Physics, you can sway in a lot of directions. I'm in IT and Physics is one course I would do. STatistics can be get abstract especially here in Nigeria.

I advise you study chemical Engineering if you have a ion for Engineering and Challenging ventures. I am a chemical engineer practicing and loving it. you can be a control room operator in any production line, facility /asset manager (when experience is gathered tho), process engineer, instrumentation (process control) engineer or anything you actually want to do. My thoughts

Your first mistake is allowing people to determine your life path for you.

Why don't you check for the one that has better job opportunities OR easy start up probability and go for it, or the one that your dream more.

Hi good morning,
I hope you are alright. So here is my opinion on which course you should go for. All courses are great courses but then it all boils down to your ion which from what you stated, is in computer science. Statistics is the most related course to computer science and is quite versatile and there are emerging careers in need of statisticians like data science/analyst/mining which is atop the list.
A statistical background is essential and forms a backbone for computer science.
I hope you are have a flair for mathematics though.
In conclusion do your research prey about it. Have a nice day and an excellent choice of programme

Wait till next year. Don't go for any of these courses. what they say about about the P in Psychology. That's what all of them are. Ire eeeee ooooo

OP, For global trends statistics is what u should choose but please chemical engineering is a darn good course.
u did not mention d part that u are connected or have strong financial back up

I can tell u for free that 80% of chemical engineering graduates in Nigeria aren’t using their certificate in their appropriate field

I know u won’t agree but that’s d reality

you need to know what you want for yourself and which course is closer to your dreams and aspirations. With that, you will know the one to pick.

Another thing you should be concern about is your personal strength cos all those courses there as tough courses apart from agric engineer which to me is d less difficult of them all. Are you above average in solving mathematics, physics. Not our regular common mathematics but further mathematics because if you can't Cope in physics, statistics which is d best option you might end up been adviced to withdraw from d program to a more lesser difficult course or else be dropped for poor academic performance
Chenult:

Then statistics it is.
cliper230(m): 11:13am On Jan 25, 2023
Since you have ion for computers then you should pick either physics or statistics. Statistics is more align to data science and its 4yrs .you need to maintain high CGP but physics is very tedious if you de struggle with book better pick chemicals engineering that one easiest among them.
9japride(m): 11:14am On Jan 25, 2023
Statistics is more sustainable. With that you can proceed to data analysis easily.

It is sickening enough that you asked us to make a life decision for you.

So it could not be more surprising seeing people turn themselves into judges telling you what you should do and what you shouldn't.

They call some courses petty, useless, irrelevant because they think those courses will not get you any job after graduation. This is unacceptable. Don't listen to them. Any of those courses will make you a good source of income if you "master" it better than 99% of those who studied them simply because they made the same mistake of asking people to choose for them or because they had no choice since JAMB had denied them their course of choice and gave them those courses.

My question is: which of these courses do you think you can master effortlessly and become better at it than anyone else?

That is the course you should study.
What this means is that after graduation, you'll be bold enough to walk up to any employer and give them a unique solution to their problems with your knowledge. Those who are telling you their certificates are useless can never be able to do this because they were never able to achieve the mastery of their courses. The employer will either employ you because what you have to offer is irresistible or fire one of their staff and replace you with them.

Another way of creating a good source of income for yourself would be by putting your knowledge into use and doing something on your own.

In summary, go for any of those courses that you can master better than anyone else and kick everybody's *ss in your class. Don't be concerned about whether you'll secure a job in any field for now. Fight for today. Tomorrow will be better.

Kids. That's all you know how to do...

Take charge of your life nobody is responsible for your misery.

When you go to school and lazy about while your mates are studying, you will come out to blame the course you studied.

Chemical engineering is a very tough course and if you don't make a 2:1 you are OYO.
But tough is why it pays well. Tough is why it's for the brightest.

Connection and money yhen yhen yen...that's a lazy man's excuse and consolation for being broke.

Get a life son...you are responsible for what you make of your life

No engineering is useless really. It is the perception of the society that kills most engineering courses in Nigeria.
