I've gone through my own message and accessibility settings to check if there's anything that you could have turned on that'll cause this but I didn't see anything, let's wait for others to chip in abeg.

Abi you're using the message app your phone came with ? You didn't give another app permission to be you default message app

I've cleared data for Google assistant but it's still the same

Lol, took my previous phone, Mi9t to them also when it got damaged by water, they also called 100k to change the and stuff, after speaking Yoruba and arguing back and forth for an hour or so, I finally paid 33k.

What happened to the phone exactly after the dive? Nothing displaying on the screen or phone went to bootloop? Many times its either the screen or the battery that gets damaged when a phone gets submerged in water.
