In my experience, when you have nothing to watch and yet you claim not to be in the mood to watch content you've put on hold, it's most likely because you're not actually interested in said content and more probably just have it listed for external reasons.

I just don't watch stuff until I'm in the mood for them. I have several shows or anime ed that I don't watch for months after I them.
No one is forcing me...I just watch when I feel I'm in the right frame to enjoy them

Lol, I see clearing of HUGE watchlist in a month and I dey laugh.

Even during COVID in 2020 that everyone was holed up, back then I was watching films and TV series everyday having watchtime of at least 10+ hours per day. I still no clear reach half of my movies list then when I still dey list them on paper.
Neighbours where even yabbing me then cos I wasn't socialising enough and just keep myself holed up in my room all day. I just come out during evening time and still calculate my time I'd spend doing boring small talks. 1hr30mins max I don japa enter house back. Na mostly light, heat or that period when transformer blow na im I even dey get ppl time sef.


All that no even reduce my list by half in about 2 months of doing nothing. Talkless of when you're busy with work, life and other stuff.

The Ambush (2021; Arabic)
This is a very well executed war project with good storytelling, acting and action. I don't know of its degree of closeness to the actual events but, I will highly recommend it.

Took me 2 days with many stops but yea Blanchett really put the work In. It was solely cos of her that I soldiered on tbh.

Triangle of Sadness ......8.5/10

Absolute great movie. Struggled at first to watch it but it later turnt up.
A great social commentary on Socialism and Capitalism and societal norms and values.
The ending being left open ended is somehow sha. One being left to interprete if she's killed or not is a shame.

Great using something like this to start the year on my movie watching.

It truly questions what you think you know of someone all your life.

After watching two of the other Best Picture contenders, I whole heartedly agree with this. EEAAO seems the better of them.
The genius to be this relevant up till now since May last year shows its lasting impression.
What a better way to celebrate a best picture winner with an indie studio like A24 grabbing the number one honour.

I honestly get annoyed when I see Top Gun Maverick in the best picture talk. It's plain stupid to me. Maybe it's cos of Tom Cruise pull and elegance.
If that thing wins major honours then AMPAS has no stupid excuse giving CBMs more respect.

I feel his anguish because if my best friend wakes up one day and seemingly says he doesn't want to be friends with me anymore to the point that he would cause himself bodily harm if i go close to him without any logical reason ( him been dull it's not logical enough for me), i would want answers too and closure.

This was the best movie i saw in 2022 btw...Top top tier... I'm have always been a serial advocate for Irish cinema and i am yet to be let down!

Cate Blanchett is an "Oscar Baby"...has 2 already and every movie she's in carries the clout. Just like Meryl Streep or Daniel Day Lewis.

I saw "Blue Jasmine" (2013) back then and it was the most normal movie and with a normal plot with fairly normal performance you will ever see, only for Cate Blanchett to win Oscar's best actress award for it months later.
