Wow that was a very enjoyable match to watch.
Argentina 4-4-2 high pressing and snapping at the Croatians like they stole something from them. The likes of Modric could only receive the ball facing his own goal and even then Romero was always quick at his heels. Argentina ate up every space on the pitch.
They allowed Croatia to have possession in the first 20 minutes but only in their own half and I don't understand why Croatia only looked to exploit the left channel via Perisic. Just why didn't they use that their RB back that was marauding forward at every given opportunity against Brazil? Scaloni got his lineup and tactics absolutely spot on.
