Fta are showing matches but coded. You need to check through 16e tvt togo , rtb, ortb , canal among others . Currently watching Belgium vs canada on tvt Togo

Good morning. Please can anyone guide me how to enabke subtitles on my mediastar mini2727?
I play some movies via flash on it that has subtitles but it sometimes doesn't display even when I try all the subtitle options on it. Watch same movies on my phone, my mxplayer detects it automatically..
Who can guide me to how to make any subtitile show it?

Ita easy for DSTV to make select matches available because of lack of competition.

This is the most expensive WC and TV rights also went up, with DSTV acquiring all rights to the 64 matches.

Startimes doesn't have the right at all. Meaning in Nigeria, you're left to DSTV.


DSTV then moved all to package.

If Startimes of ₦3000 had rights, Gotv will show all the matches.

When you have no competition, you dictate what people watch

Your analysis is correct, but all 64 matches are on DStv Compact, not . GOTV Supa is also showing all the games.

FTA just has rights for 28 of 64 matches.
Too bad Startimes didn't bid this year, cos normally worldcup rights aren't exclusive persey, but I think Startimes is going through financial difficulties

2500 a month is what they used to charge for single view back then in 2008, they later increased to 3500 and 5000 for single and dual view respectively that year..

I think their pricing would be higher, maybe 4500 or 5k a month, that's more realistic and the channel's won't be HD, SuperSport would most likely furnish them with ROA feed..

Because some, if not most of these FTA broadcasters just have the rights to transmit this matches TERRESTRIALLY ONLY. that is to say the signals to those games can only be assessed by antenna signal in the country that they broadcast from.
So when time forthe game to start beckons, the satellite feed is scrambled or taken off, leaving only the terrestrial feed.

Same thing with NTA broadcast of the world cup, only the terrestrial NTA is showing FTA games, the NTA on DStv and Startimes (Dish) don't. (NTA on Startimes antennas shows the worldcup)

It's all about tv rights and copy rights

You'll need to get their official decoders, but you'll watch all the games and everything else you want by subscribing.

it means geographic location. 28 degrees East of the meridian. a simple rule, the direction of the rising sun in the morning. these satellites are tracked along such paths. that's why you hear of 7 degrees West or 7 degrees East etc.
