If your spouse is accompanying you then he/she will have to take the medical exam.

Application on the portal is time bound and the portal will auto delete any application your start without submitting before the timeline expires. Gather your documents and apply when it's complete.

Why not VFS to know the courier service they used so you can track the package and retrieve it timely.

You can do it yourself, all the help you need is here. I studied every post and the peculiarity of the documents submitted. I used it to build a framework for my application and I kept editing and adding documents whenever I came across any PPR post. The weakest point in my application was my proof of funds and I backed it up with prayers.

I am going to Windsor, Ontario, I need any assistance to secure affordable off-campus accommodation because my school residence is on the high side.

When I went to DHL to submit my port, I was also told that they(dhl) don't do two-way courier anymore like you said it's their new policy. So I had to pay directly to VFS for my port return and added the receipt to my other documents.

So I think you should try and get in with VFS cause it's possible that your port is ready but because you didn't pay the courier fee you haven't heard from them.
