My guru @Makano advised we order for GCMS and quickly re-fire. So we ordered for the notes, it came back and we gathered that the VO had issues with lump sum on my statements.

So we quickly adjusted my SOP and provided explanations plus verifiable receipts for the lump sum, and reapplied again.

Sep 18th - Application submitted (Biometrics was done on the 22nd of April, 2022 so it updated)
Nov 15th- Eligibility Review
Nov 16th- Medical updated to ed (I did upfront medicals on the 21st of April, 2022)

That was obviously before the terror alert. Seems since then, Lagos VFS has been receiving bulk of the PPR submissions. These days it takes at least 3 weeks to get your port stamped.

And this transmission fee applies if you submit to Lagos as well (first time applicants aren't included for some strange reason). I paid for it & I submitted in-person at VFS Lagos.

You can, but you have to convince the VO why you are changing careers. Most people continue with the same career or change when they arrive in Canada to avoid any issues.

Submitted my ppr on November 8, when I tried tracking it, it always comes up with no records found, chatted vfs and I was told my port has been sent to the embassy, I got my letter of introduction last Friday, does that mean it has been stamped and being sent back to vfs ? cause I still can’t track it

Data science can be applied to any field, my dear. In the end, it's all about analyzing the dataset. So, what part of geophysics has the use of multiple data you can apply some data science methodology on? That's the relation you need to clear out... How to apply data science in your current field of study.

e.g. If I studied Business and I'm working in a bank. Obviously, the dataset can be in the form of customer data or money in a bank ...And data science can be used to understand these datasets and make projections and predictions... plus the fact it is a sought-after job and would boost your career

MyBankStatement or MBS for short is a one page ticket generated by your bank to replace traditional paper based bank statements that are normally submitted in visa applications. It contains a unique ticket number and code that can be used by Embassies to efficiently your holdings are genuine.

The beautiful thing about it is that it's simple to & not cumbersome like the regular statements that could cover lots of pages depending on the amount of transactions you carry out on that .

Just go to your bank and request for MBS. They'd give you a form to fill, ask you which embassy you're sending to & the time frame. Then they send a soft copy of the ticket to your email. That ticket contains a code. You're to that soft copy to your study permit application as your POF. The VO/embassy officer then logs onto the MBS portal & accesses your bank records with the code on your ticket.

So is this the new way to submit POF online or you can still do the normal pdf . Thanks
