na scammers!! They want you to call back with your airtime. So, even if the talk no make sense, na you lose your airtime. Them be bastard.

i don't even bother to pick the calls or even call back, who i sabi for tanzania wey go dey flash me.

They are scammers when you try to call back all your airtime will go within a second flash

Wait I thought I was the only those numbers have been flashing and annoying part is if I block it another one will flash me in next few days.The worst of it all is the number flash during the night when I'm fast asleep..........I am that Igbo Jew

If you have put your numbers on Hangout chats, hook-up sites, sites that connects , expect calls like this...

Don't ever call back, they will wipe out your credit, but pick their calls when you are, if you do that, they will avoid you, caused you are wasting their credit.

Don’t stress yourself Bro, you got two options
1) Find the option “Silence unknown Callers” on an iphone and switch it on, unsaved number would not even ring out or show unless you check call logs. I use this on my line promptly. Any familiar number, i prefer muting my mic and calling back to know if it’s important or sending text message to communicate. Once you dial the number, it would definitely be allowed to call you afterwards.
2) Best for android though…works on iphone too, i just use this to filter spam sms on my iOS device.
Go give Truecaller the permission handle all your calls…and you should check the settings incase there is any other thing or Google/YouTube would definitely show you how the settings is done.

He can also block numbers not in his phonebook through truecaller

Those are rate numbers. You can get one online. Fix you price eg $2.50 per minute.
Once someone calls the number he pays 2.50 per minute. The telecoms company shares it with you.
The idea then is to attract calls to that line.
So the scarmer flashes so many people and when they call back he makes money the longer he keeps you online.

I HAVE TWO OF THEM, ONE FROM AMERICA AND THE OTHER ONE FROM ENGLAND. BUT NEVER TELL THEM YOUR DATE OF BIRTH.

I xperienced it last few weeks. If I block one they will flash with another one, I think they got tired and let me be.

Obviously u ed on a date sites with your number included, if u re female then this could be very true. Or possibly snapchat

They are scammers. It is called "one ring", where they call numbers and immediately disconnect with hopes that curious people will return the call. The scammers use phone numbers bought on the dark web that they use to call other numbers.
The aim of the scam is to encourage those who get a missed call to call the number, after which they will be ripped off as the call will be re-routed to rate number overseas & will be subsequently billed exorbitant sums for listening to pre-recorded messages.
Then they get heavily paid as a commission for referring people to a call rates that likely pinch adverts to the listeners.

Clever though

Don't be surprised, most of those calls may be originated from Nigeria. All what those bad guys need do is to for a foreign line on some telecom apps just like Chidinma Ojukwu.

Nowadays, you don't need to be in Belarus to have Belarusian line.

I do get the calls too. One thing I've come to realise is that the scammer is often someone close to me or someone that knows me very well, or someone I've giving my number to, or someone that's previledged to have my no.

It's actually a call service plan where you call and they offer you a service like sex chat, medical advice, legal advice, e.t.c

Some just put you on pre recorded response and since you called, you'll be charged per seconds as long as you stay on the call.

Ordinarily, legit businesses place those numbers on their websites or their services on TV but these ones simply flash you and if you out of curiosity call back, you get billed.

What I do once I notice those type of calls is I quickly pick up so they get charged the international call rates. Joke's on them
