Got to the UK a month ago by the assistance of a care company, which they paid for everything, with 3yrs visa and told me before coming that if I have to leave the company I will pay back £6,000. Now I am thinking of getting another job, maybe in a care home. I am just confused and don't know what to do right now

Perhaps try looking for a new sponsor that will
agree to compensate your current company for your relocation expenses. Your current company might accept this, even if the amount is less than £6k, if they are satisfied that they have recovered their costs

What on paper and reality on ground might be two different things.... everyone wants to work in a good environment but the reality is a lot of it can be toxic.... so been transparent means nothing. There no where the employer said hold on, come us but we are very terrible as well

Yes I saw one... the new people haven't sorted accommodation so employer gave a room aka accomodation. The new employees turns up and see 4 people have been allocated to share this one room

So 4 unrelated people who don't know each other from Adam are told to share a double bed and now the employer is giving them a shift of 12hours but only paying 6 hours. This just slavery and has becoming an annoying trap .the lady who been there for 5-months said nobody to complain or they cancel your cos so all working 12 hours and been paid 6

We are still discussing, they have clearly stated that she has no obligation financially with them if she chooses to leave them.

They conditions is that If she says she is not going on the transfer with them, they company will pay her 3 months salary in advance and terminate her visa immediately.

My new worries is getting a sponsorship job, COS and Visa in 60 days.
We are currently job searching and believing it will happen before the middle of December.

The care industry sounds like it's one whistleblower away from being all over the news, and that's likely what needs to happen for the correct regulations and reforms to be enforced. Guardian and channel 4 news are very good at exposing and highlighting these types of stories

Apply with your bank - assuming you have an with one of the high street banks and have maintained a reasonable balance, that'll give you the strongest chance. 5 months is short to be able to access some of the major providers like Sainsbury's, MBNA etc, but you might as well try.

Check your credit score, then run a loan eligibility test ......(it's a soft search, that gives you a score).......

Even if your loan application fails, start by obtaining some form of credit...... So creditor's can gauge your credit management..........

You can write Pearson PTE test and get result in 48 hrs(usually 24hours) instead of IELTS that takes longer time or you might want to evaluate your bachelors degree with Naric(ecctis).

Hello guys. I posted about driving bruhaha where I worked. Although my company advised me to apply for a provincial license which I have done, I noticed they have been very cold towards me since then. They find fault in everything I do and threaten to send me home at any slight instant. They are delibrately frustrating me. I get accused for things I didn't do and I am not given a chance to defend myself. Currently I trek several miles daily to see clients because my company said I can only buy a car until I get my my driving test and I can't use my international license. They paid me without a pay slip and wen I requested they ignored. I was threatened that I will be sent home if any report comes about me. I am tired. I just called another company who are willing to sponsor me after an interview.

My question. Can I go with the new company because I have only worked for a month with my current company. What about my dependents, do they need to apply as well

The details on this are sketchy and gives the vibe of somethings not being said.
There are too many red flags.
Denying you your payslip has the potential to land the company in much more trouble.

Fact is, the treatment you're receiving would not stop until something gives.

My view on some of the issues being raised on work and treatment would be

1. Have realistic expectation
2. Have personal expectation and goal
3. Do not be dictated by round-the-mill talks. People will always talk (right from the garden of Eden)
4. For 'japaing' purposes, be clear within yourself (and your spouse if applicable) what your goal, expectation and reality are
5. Know who you are
6. No 4 repeated. Listen but act less or be swayed less by all the talk-in-town
7. African, especially Nigerians exaggerate with reckless abandon
8. Drop 'your' 9ja gra gra. Read, and read, and read on rules/policies. Gov.uk is an invaluable friend that sticketh closer than any else!!!

I didn't sign any contract with them. They gave me a 5 years COS, no relocation package or anything. I have been staying in an hotel with my family since I arrived and getting a place has been very difficult and the company said they can do nothing about it except giving me reference if a landlord accepts and no landlord is willing to accept us right now except we pay 6 months upfront or have stayed up to 6 months in the UK. It's like they want to get rid of me and are looking for any flimsy excuse to do so

Nothing to prove. There is an option that allows the fact that you have proven the proficiency in previous applications. (Eg student visa)

If the rental provider or landlord provide a cc facility (link, scan, QR ...), why not if not. Simple response, it's a YES.
However, if not, and the transaction will be treated as cash, TREAD CAUTIOUSLY!

I have a little question. When applying for health and care worker dependent visa, I saw the following 2 options for identification:

-have their fingerprints and photograph taken at a visa application centre - this is to get a biometric residence permit

-use the ‘UK Immigration: ID Check’ app to scan their identity document - they’ll also create or sign in to their UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) .

Can someone kindly confirm if the second option is available for Nigerians? And if it is, does that mean I don't have to go to UK embassy?

Your dependent can stay on their current visa ...also if you see where to switch. Yes you can just keep it very quiet until you see the new visa . If the new company agrees you give u a new cos you are good to go

They might say why switching when only one month but if they agree and issue you a new cos then go for it
