Saddening. One hopes the facility and the stock-in-trade were insured against fire incidents of this sort that virtually razed down the structure and the items it contained. And to think the fire station is barely 1.5km. along the same stretch of road. What a country Nigeria is! The damage ought not to have been this extensive. Wondering whether the facility had automatic sprinkler systems -(powder or water)- installed. Nigerians rarely consider doing that. And to think that the owner is UK resident where sprinkler systems are installed in stores doing business in easily flammable items such as furniture and interior decor materials. 2 Likes |
