Kenya police for example - get brand new car every year - it leased - they dont repair it - they dont fuel it - it come with fuel card - the police have no excuse not to respond. If the car even stutters - the car leasing company bring replacement immediately.

Kenya police get life insurance cover. Army the same. They earn 3 times Nigeria. They life better - and they work better.

Why isnt Nigeria doing this - it's spending gov money subsidizing fuel. Give this money to police. Nigeria security sector should have 10B dollars plus budget annually.

Swahili just like any other major international language has many borrowed words,but never 50%,it's estimated to be 10% or less. And those borrowed words words are what spice up the languages. It's even strange for someone to criticize Swahili for borrowing few words instead of criticizing English language for all those Latin and words.Or why are we not talking about the foreign names in our countries?

Language is syntax. Loan words just enrich vocabulary. Swahili is 100% bantu language with loan words from Arabic, Persian, Portuguese, English and other languages.. every language borrowed words from each other...

Kenya, TZ, Ug it's nearly 1.5-2 dollars almost. Price of goods - petrol affect the transport component - not manufacturing/raw material/labour/etc. What exactly will be affected by petrol outside transport of goods and maybe generator running in the backyward? And even within transport component - bad/poorly maintained roads/traffic jams - will chew more fuel/expense - than petrol pump prices.

And mostly importantly you gov cannot afford subsidies - which is why you have fuel shortage everytime - leading to even bigger problems.

The fuel subsidy thing is to Nigeria what the welfare state is to Europe and America, a delicate issue.

If we play our cards right and assuming this fuel price remain constant, we could have something in the range of 250-300 naira. The naira would certainly appreciate by then if we increase our oil production to supply Dangote 300,000bpd and also meet an OPEC quota of 1.7million bpd.
