2. Poor parenting ( You teach a child to swim in children swimming pool with a trained swimming instructor,, you never allow a child get near adult pool area or get comfortable in adult pool area because children at that age are at exploring stage.

It's the very reason the mother is always called to question if or when a child becomes morally corrupt and socially inept. Same applies to the father if he's broke and can't provide for his family.

Pool should be cleaned a minimum of once a week. But Nigerians can keep filthy pools.

Have no idea how it happened. I tried to point out that pools need to be closed when not in use. If you are wealthy then an automatic cover should not be outside reach.

You are right. My friend lost a househelp like that. She stood in the shallow side and then slipped into the middle and she couldn't swim. Nigerians including the rich don't maintain their pools properly.

Of course we don't know what happened in this case but people should be aware that pools can be risky if some ground rules are not put in place.

The swimming pool is not the problem, design and safety features put in place for kids is. I am an architect, a house with kids must have certain features like guardrails or covers.

As per househelps/nannys/minders. I have seen and not just read of terrible instances negligence and abuse of children and babies. You should never leave your children with people who are not emotionally invested with your children. I am a firm believer that one parent must be available to raise the children, its unhealthy having someone else carrying different psychological and emotional baggage raising your children.

That's what I have been trying to understand, why does Chioma leave their son at home and shadow Davido every where he goes? Does she have to close mark him? Why can't she stay at home and raise their son and their future children? What value does she add to the family by following him up and down.
