Finished it later. The movie is worth the hype. Of course there are the usual Nollywoodish aspects and some glaring plot holes, but at the end of the day the themes themselves, and their presentation more than makes up for the deficiencies. The grass is not always greener on the other side, and with great power comes great responsibilities. However, man's many foibles make it difficult to retain that kind of power successfully.

I think the gripe majority of critics have with it is that it's mostly action with little to no substance.
For a film that was hugely marketed and hyped, I guess they expected more.

Yeah, that's a legit sidebar to have, but I'm sure WB took a good bet on what the consumers want, and the critics can really only rage....
Also, and this might be the wrong way to look at it, I think movies should be rated along the lines of what the producers and marketing arm has portrayed it as, if it's soulful, rate it along those lines, if its comedic, rate according to the data points a comedic movie should have, if it's action and adrenaline fuelled, same applies, and when a movie does well in all departments, it should get the A++
Just a thought.

Oh, they are making the Hindu version too. The original Malayalam-language version was out last year on Amazon prime and it’s worth it. I hope the Hindu version will capture the suspense of the part 2 like they did for the first one.

I just watched The King's Man. Excellent movie I ever watched. I was using logitech headset to watch because currently I am on work and its very useful for handle conference calls.

I haven't watched the Malayalam version yet, I was thinking it's not up to par but I will try watching it later to clear my doubt.

And yes the Hindu version sequel will be special just like the first one.
