Have you tried transferring your folders directly from your internal storage to the new device? Works everytime.

No need to over complicate issues.

You honestly cannot backup your data at this point because to root your device, you have to unlock your bootloader and the procedure includes mandatory factory reset and data wipe. Just copy your media files to your new phone. Had it been you rooted your old phone before you began using it and installing apps, you'd have been able to backup your apps and their data.
