If they refuse, the Federal Government should enforce the Judgment of the Court by deing them ![]() The government should not stop at that. Vice-chancellors must for hundreds of billions worth of TETFUND grants they have embezzled. The lecturers must also write apology letters to students and add 20 marks to the score of students because you cannot stay 8 months at home blocking highways and bullying online without forgetting what you were taught in January. It should be a criteria for paying them the 8 months salary they didn't work for. For more than 40 years, ASUU has shattered the dreams of great Nigerian students. Below is a picture of ASSU strike being called off in 1981. My mother had just started Primary School in 1981. 41 years later a useless congress of indecent academicians are still frustrating students. 178 Likes 20 Shares |

Let’s hope the lawless body called ASUU will obey the court of appeal this time around. ASUU is an irresponsible body and I’m glad the FG finally called their bluff. FG should immediately order VCs to reopen all federal universities on the strength of this judgement and any lecturer that refused to resume should be disciplined in-line with public service rules. 98 Likes 11 Shares |

LoneWolf212: The Court of Appeal is the final bus stop when it comes to the proceedings of the National Industrial Court. Section 243 (4) of the 1999 Constitution. While ASUU has a good case, national interest will be considered 84 Likes 8 Shares |

If Govt is the one that asked for a stay of proceedings/execution and refused to obey court order like ASUU did with the order of the Industrial Court, SERAPNigeria, EiENigeria & all the other jobbers ipob obituary would have been up in arms. oga due process would have roared from all corners. It was ASUU that scorned the Industrial Court, proceeded on appeal for a stay of an interlocutory order and all the pretenders to rule of law kept mute. The Court of Apeal advised parties should think of the nation & settle, but ASUU did not do this. Now the Court of Apeal has affirmed lower court. Let me explain in layman's why ASUU's position is puerile: (a) The case in court filed by the FGN is to submit all the issues between ASUU and FGN to jurisdiction of the court for adjudication. (b) The FGN applies for interim order for ASUU to resume lectures WHILE the main case is being tried. That is; pending the determination of the substantive case. (c) This is what we call INTERLOCUTORY ORDER in law. This order does not mean that the FGN has won or ASUU has lost. That will be decided down the line. (d) Interlocutory orders are given to minimise damages or preserve the res as we say in law. The court was simply saying, do not let the sufferings of the students and lecturers continue. They can still be in school while we continue with the case and determine it. Everyone should see how reasonable this is abi? But ASUU refused to return to classes and instead went on appeal against an order to protect students & lecturers. (f) In law an appeal does not operate as a stay thus ASUU should have obeyed the court order and then appeal. ASUU is represented by a SAN who knows better abi? In conclusion, let us see if Falana SAN will still tell his clients to disobey the Court of Appeal. I have told you many times about the Falana wayo wayo. He won't relent until he is disgraced. The story of ASUU. The end. My prayers is that this will be the end of ASUU. They've been striking for over 40 years copy 42 Likes 3 Shares |

The funny thing is even if government adhere to their demands, this same ASUU will look for another excuse to hold innocent students at ransome. See my junior ones that are supposed to graduate this year wasting away because of one useless union. Aswear make federal government de ASUU so that everybody go rest. You didn't work for how many months and you are expecting government to pay you your full salaries and benefits. No be juju be that ![]() What about the students that you wasted their time, na who go compensate them. 63 Likes 5 Shares |
