The Federal Government has confirmed that it has purchased vehicles worth N1.4 billion to help Niger tackle insecurity.

The Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed gave the confirmation on Wednesday, explaining that providing intervention to the neighboring Niger Republic is not new and it is the prerogative of President Muhammadu Buhari who approved the purchase.

According to her, President Buhari, whose actions she cannot question, has the right to make his own assessment of situations and give directives accordingly.

She added that the financial , which is primarily for the purpose of enhancing capacity to protect their territory, based on a request by the Nigerien Government, is also in the best interest of the country.

The minister, who was speaking after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by the President, responded to questions regarding documents released on social media which showed that the president approved the release of the funds on February 22, 2022, for the Niger Republic.

N1.4billion for the purchase of 10 Land Cruiser V8 vehicles to fight insecurity in Niger Republic, the same Nigeria that is plagued with ASUU.

1.4 Billion to purchase vehicles for his cousins when an average Nigerian can’t afford the next meal yet some people still want to vote APC in 2023.

Them curse una?

The Bible never said we should love our neighbors more than ourselves. This country sure needs a pragmatic leadership.
We have never had it so bad. You are not secured but you are securing another?
Lord have mercy.

Buhari has really improved Niger republic economy since he came in 2015 , even COVID couldn't slow down the growth ...Most of this growth is related to funds brazenly shifted from Nigeria to Niger republic in a mind boggling manner...A lot of Kidnap Ransome is is also finding it's way Into that economy ..look at the graph below and see consistent growth in a country used to a flat line for decades ...What is responsible for such a rocket growth if not their son Buhari that is killing Nigeria to grow Niger

The federal should not forget Cameroon, Benin Republic and of course Chad in their generous gifts to our good neighbors, if possible, let your giving reach Libya too because they’re the reason why banditry is new Birth-name for Nigeria .

At a time when Universities have been under lock and key for over 150 days because the government said they're broke and cannot afford what ASUU is asking for.

This same government is spending over a billion Naira to purchase vehicles for a country that didn't ask for it.

And yet Nigerian youths who's future this government have totally destroyed to the extent that they can't even afford 2 meals a day are running around the internet like a female dog on heat to campaign for APC.

The same tinubu who imposed this failure on us is the same person they're ready to give their to. Who did this to the black man?

Who did we offend in Nigeria to be blessed - or cursed - with leaders like what APC & PDP are offering our 220million souls in this country?

The person or thing should kindly have mercy. We are begging for liberation. Our men and women are dying daily in their dozens and nothing looks like hope in the horizon...
