I agree. I ed business after my NYSC when no job was forth coming, in the business, I had zero knowledge of it, my both parents are teachers, no one taught me , to the glory of God flourishing till date. Perfectly doing well.

It therefore means that, once all those who have experience retires or die, the workforce will become empty .

They are facing similar problem in some civil service....they had to delay retirement for many people inorder to mentor people up .....

You advice is 50/50. In low level employment you can manage and train inexperience person but in high level status if you dares it your will destroy your business.

Those companies asking for someone with ten years experience meanwhile someone with even no experience might rise and leave them behind if given the opportunity.

If only all these blue chip companies could just have like a branch for internship purposes, where they train graduates and it's likes before inculcating them into the system, it will do alot of good. The experienced candidate they are looking for, gain their experiences from other companies or establishments that took time to train them. No one is born with experiences, it is not part of our DNA, experience is developed, it is practically taught and nurtured.

And in that CV, write what you did at home, or with Aunty/Uncle... Even if you swept house and arrange furniture, write it.

The mistake you are making is this.
The companies don't give a "FFFF" about you!!!
You are not their child.
If you want to really work in that company, go and target a staff that is already working there and beg that guy to teach you.
Make friends with him. Stalk him. Find his church, mosque wherever. Find the person. Let him use his mouth to tell you what
the company does. Then YOU go and learn it.
Later, you will have confidence to work in that company.

You can't just be sitting at home, watching your phone and expect bluechip company to pick you and teach you everything.

When you hire inexperienced workers then you pay dearly for their inexperience.

Some recruiters are just so stupid. I saw an advert for a 10 year work experience in programming Carbon, a language that google just released few days ago.

Sometimes I wonder where they expect you to gain experience if they don’t give you a chance as if they would be where they are if no one gave them a chance to have the experience they do have. Very wicked people around
