My resident permit (Aufenthaltstitel) expires in 30 days same time as my port. Is it possible to still use this Aufenthaltstitel (with 4 weeks validity) to travel to Nigeria to pick up my new port and return to in 1 week? I am eligible for an extension but need a valid port for this.

Are you going to Nigeria just to start the whole process? Or you already did the process and only going for pickup?

If its to start a new process and you ain't going for any other special thing in Nigeria.

I'll advise you go to Switzerland and renew.

Interview was in Nov. And lawyer came in March. I mailed them in April they said they are still working, I mailed them two weeks ago. Dead silence.

The silence is really deafening, Nothing from them yet.

mmmmmm pls is not possible, to collect port in Nigeria now is a war, too much delay and too much money, they will tell you its possible that you should come, at the end they will start with one stories to another,, telling you that there is no booklet, so my humble advice is for you to go to another country close by and get your port to avoid stories that touches the heart.

After waiting a year for interview,you will still wait and wait for lawyer verification before them deciding your fate …na wa o ,only !

Good evening house my Family reunion Visa was rejected On the basis that my husband is currently not able to secure my livelihood, meanwhile he is a permanent resident permit Holder and currently doing his Ausbidung and also has a mini job and tendered an of 12euro though he didn’t block it as we Didn’t get enough information on how to block an back then.

Sincerely I don't know but you have to be extremely patient. It took almost 3/4 months for my company to process mine over there. The consequences of you not having it is that, the embassy will the employment office that will then your employer. (This is the reverse of the pre-approval supposed to be initiated by your employer instead).

What you should mindful about is the patience of your employer. So long they know what's going on under the hood, they will be fine. Just be patient and pray always. You go get am

There is a new bill ed by the German cabinet that removes the A1 requirement for family reunion alongside some other changes for refugees.
Only thing is I dont know if its to be implemented with immediate effect.
