On the CGI portal there are two buttons for getting dates: one is for those who have been previously denied a visa in the last 6 months while the other button is for fresh applicants. You can’t book an appointment under the fresh applicant button if you fall under the previously denied category. That would amount to lying and their is a statement to this effect on the CGI portal.

Don't reschedule. If they won't work on that day, they'd give you another date themselves.

Hi everyone! It’s been a while! Kudos to you all for holding the forte and keeping this thread alive.

I have a question please. I’ve seen people here who got denied a visa and were able to reapply within a few days. How was that possible? Cos there’s this place on the portal that ask if you’ve been denied in the past 6 months. If you click yes, it grays out all the days for yiu. No dates available whatsoever. If you click no, you can still find dates although far away. Any insight into how to proceed regarding this?

You don't need to cancel anything. Just reschedule your appointment and print the new appointment page.
For EA, you can't apply for EA without a scheduled date. So you don't need to cancel again. Best.

Please can someone use F1 visa he got from a different country and come back to Nigeria to see his family and leave from Lagos to USA

Don,t reschedule. Give them a call to explain the situation. I suppose they should reschedule you themselves. I know a friend whose appointment was cancelled because he rescheduled two times (you can only reschedule once).

Sure! Your visa is universal. You can enter US from anywhere in the world as long as you have a valid US visa, irrespective of the country where it was issued.

My sponsor is a family solicitors. Which was what I wrote on my DS 160 at my first interview. I wrote an associate and a family friend. I was denied as at the time I mentioned it. Now I had to ask that they change my I-20 sponsor to family solicitors so it doesn't sound like I am making too much of changes. As I want to be consistent with my words.
Please advise me on this. Thank you

Now my question is ,I wish to study in USA now, does the Ban expire or actually permanent as the VO said
Also I actually claimed the lottery from an agent,so the name wasn't my Original name
My other question comes from this, will that issue comeup with my real name now?

Or I should just forget totally about Going to the US

This is tricky. Did you at any time do biometrics (like thumbprint)? If they have your thumbprint, it will always come up even if you change your name and other details. You previous applications will pop up once they get your thumbprint.
