Because I could recall a friend from Lagos who was like, "mate you still using android whilst abroad?" I just laugh... But to my greatest surprise, I've come across Brits in many occasions still using that very Nokia phone after 3310 with a ringtone"come feel me"

My advice would be to go for what you can afford at your present situation and not just because you're moving abroad.

Both Samsung and iPhone. I buy phones and Latops from sites like eBay and offerup and you will see a lot of blacklisted phones for cheap there. Even my iPhone has blacklisted status so it can’t work with any carrier over there.
