Are you always alert to watch out for it or you rely on technincals?

I ask because it seems like it is a regular occurrence for scalping patterns, one moment you see the staircase, the next moment, na one very long red candle that doesnt look like it was caused by a scalper selling.

Just like the screenshot of the charts I posted before, notice how the higher timeframe of D4 is bullish.

Not just the D4, I also make sure the 1WK, 2Wks and 1Mnth timeframes are in sync with the bullish trend, meaning the candles are all in green.

So for me to scalp, I use the lower timeframes of H4 and the rest, to confirm their lows and highs, and then trade in between that range.

Since no prediction is 100%, which means a long red candle can spring up from nowhere, I always try to exit the market as soon as the price is almost reaching the resistance lines.

On the other hand, if the D1 timeframe has a strong buying pressure, and there's a higher resistance on the D1, I ignore the lower resistance in the lower timeframes, and aim for the D1 resistance, which means more profits...maybe from 5% and above, all depending on point of entry.

D4 is Day 4/4 days timeframe.
D1 is Day 1/1 day timeframe.

For a trader to be satisfied with the small profits of 2,3,4 and 5%, it will require trading with a sizeable portfolio.
Let's do the math...

Now imagine scalping with $1k, and out of 7 days of trading, you make 3% daily in 4 days, the remaining 3 days could be bad days or whatever.

Now, 3% of $1k= $30
$30*4 days of successful trades=$120.
$120*N600( exchange rate)= N72k.

So on average, a scalper could be making N72k, more or less in a week, depending on your level of scalping.

My intention in the long run is to be scalping/day trading with N5M.

With that kind of funds in my portfolio, all I need is just a 10% profit in a week, which will be N500k.
A month=N2M, more or less!

My friend, this is Trash with all due Respect..

Emphasis ought to be on the risk ( i.e. the max amount you stand to loss if things go wrong) & not on the size of the margin nor the leverage.

E.g if ur using 50% of your a/c size as the margin & 10x leverage; hw much do you stand to loss if things go wrong? Are you comfortable Lossing that amount?
You must get the ans to the above Questions before placing the entry order. If you don't hv the ans, don't enter the position; So you don't inflict physcology injury upon yourself, becus ur actually not trading but gambling.

In futures we decide & plan only the amount we are comfortable to loss in any given position before entering that position.

The size of the your margin & leverage ought to depend on the proportion of your risk; so the size of your M & Lev are irrelevant. U need to go back and learn position size calculation.

Whatever works for you. I don't look at how much I am going to loose. I trade based on and resistance with Btc as my standard and so far I have been successful 85% of the time.
