[quote author=Marike2 post=112762171]MEMOIRS FROM IKOYI OFFICE.....PART 1
TEAM DIY

1) Patience is an essential ingredient in this team! Absence of it exposes you to the Touts and Agents domiciled in their back office building opposite the Police Station wink

2) Read! Read!! Read!!! the instructions while filing the forms online. Read again at the Servicom Notice board grin

3) Some uniformed officers are friendly and Professional ooh! However, all na wash so that EGUNJE go drop! undecided

4) DO NOT INDUCE /BRIBE ANYONE TO FASTRACK YOUR PORT PROCESSING! FOLLOW DUE PROCESS shocked

5) If you are processing your children's ports, ensure to BRING them with you for Verification/Approval BEFORE your capture date to avoid stories that touch..... sad

6) Always appreciate the nice/helpful officers verbally or with a TOKEN as the spirit leads you......when you have COLLECTED your port intact! grin

Hope this helps my fellow Japarians grin

To be continued after my capture date in July..... wink. Goodmrn.DIY..Pls I want to be clarified on somth.after filling the form and making payment online,do I need to go to the immigration office for anything?'cause I was thinkin after the form and payment,it's on my capturing day I'll be going there.am reading people sharing xperieces in their centers and still talkin of going BK again for capturing.Pls clarify me.thank you

I now understand bro. The problem we are having in Nigeria is created by us I mean the citizen we are the one making the officers mini god. Only few people paid online by themselves the rest was done for them by the officers. I got there around 5:30 they open gate at 7 o'clock. When it is eight they started making announcements and calling of names they said people that apply online should bring there slip. Which we all did after waiting for 4hours they didn't call my name I went inside to ask what happen the the officers on the desk transfer me to the servicom computer to ask them, they told me to go back and meet them. I went back to those officers they told me I should go and wait again they will call my name. I was confused going up and down layer they said I should bring another copy of the document that have submitted before I had to rush and do another photocopy. I will continue later guys

Do you know if they have 5 years and what the cost will be none DIY
Blackshaid: 3:02pm On May 19, 2022
Yes, they have 5years port. My friend who collected her 5years validity port the date I captured paid about 40-45k thereabout.
But I think it’s also dependent on the immigration officer you decide to use as your agent and also your bargaining power with the agent.

From what I know about the akure port office, you have to book down early (make payment) so that you can have a close capturing date cos their slots per day gets full really quickly. I booked (payed) on Thursday and I captured the next Monday.

For a fresh port
1. Click on https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/port/eport

2. Select "Standard eport" option, your country name and click "Start application"

3. Supply your biodata info and printout the "Application form" when you are done (you can save first in a PDF format for later printout)

4. Proceed to payment. When you are done, printout both the "Acknowledgement slip" and "Payment slip" respectively"

5. Generate your guarantor's form by clicking on
https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/port/portGuarantor
and supply both your reference number and application Id as stated in the printouts above. Anybody with a valid port and driver's licence/NiN slip can be your guarantor. Give the form to the person to fill and then take it to a highcourt for endorsement/g.

Note: Atleast one of the 3 printouts will carry your interview date. The day to go to your selected port office with the below documents. Though you can also go before or after the stated date.

Documents to go along with to the port office
1. NIN slip (1 copy)
2. State of Origin certificate (1 copy,)
3. Birth certificate (1 copy)
4. 2 port photos
5. Application form (1 copy)
6. Acknowledgement slip (1 copy)
7. Payment slip (2 copies)
8. Guarantor form (1 copy). A port photo (names written at the back and duly signed) of the guarantor. A copy of the guarantor's port data page and NIN slip/driver's license.
9. A white file (cost #50 or #100) and its hook (#50). You can get this at the port office.

Note: Go along with all your own originals for verification sake.

Capturing Stage
You will be rightly directed for this stage after finishing the "verification stage" above.
Note: When you are done capturing, a printout will be given to you which contains your port's collection date. Goodluck.

I hope you will find this comprehensive enough.
. Thank you so much for this.what about the process for renewal?because mine is renewal.thanks you

Guarantor form does not need notarization. Go to court and stamp it.
Fill anything you can fill on the form.

Hello,

Could you help with my question? It is very urgent and I'm desperate.

If you need your port in about 3 months from now, pls don't try DIY.

I captured in Alausa, March 10. Collection date was supposed to be April 14. I went there April 14, no show. I went there again yesterday, May 19, they said it's not ready. The person that said he will help me said I should bring 15k.

They want to frustrate DIY at all cost. If you know you will need your port next year, and you want to do DIY, pls start the process now or else!
