For the POF, which is better - to use a dom ($) or a dom (£)

My uncle in the US will be sponsoring my UK education. He recommends I open a Dom (£) because pounds as the official currency of UK is higher than dollar and also because of exchange rate volatility . But I have been to the bank and they said only offer card (dollar card) for Dom ($) .

Pls I want to know which is better

GTB is the best for Domiciliary in my own opinion.
I will advise you open a GTB dollar denominated Domiciliary and request for a dollar card. Your uncle can wire dollar directly to your with ease. GTB do not issue pound card. Although UBA does but theirs is more expensive.
You can pay your HIS, VS, Flight ticket, Accommodation fee etc with the dollar card.
You can as well use the dollar as POF.
Make your independent investigations and take a decision.

So, this right here, is the truth.
I am privy to some of these embassy confirmations due to the nature of my work.
Embassies/UKVI or Canadian authorities usually conduct verifications in the normal course of visa processing. they may dig further when something appears to be "off" about an application. Sometimes, they go as far as requesting to know the balances in the , probably, because the visa officer believes the applicant has an hidden intention they cannot looking at the papers submitted. Then, they may request for more and if the bank declines to provide more information, they may issue the applicant a refusal and request him to go through the AR route to prove what they could not establish during their verification. Basically, pushing the burden of proof to the applicant.

Summary: Embassies statements. In some cases, they request for balances. This is why some people will advise that you leave the money in the until your visa is issued.

I want to know if I have to pay my 100% fees before enrolling or I can pay up to 50% before enrolling and pay the balance after some months. I have been unable to get information about it on the school’s website.

Conversion rate depends on the method youre using. Form A is cbn rate, dom or flutterwave is higher, black market.

Check other schools dont let them delay you, except you applied to only Hertfordshire.

on the gov.uk page, pensions is not allowed as proof of funds. Unless you have successfully retrieved the value of the pensions into you bank and has been kept for the minimum 28 day period preceeding your application.

I have not been to the POE before. But I believe that this is at the discretion of the officer at POE.
I would say however that if you can pay 50% of your tuition as others have advised on this platform, even if the funds left in your cannot pay the full tuition, I don't think anyone will give you issues because you are 50% all-in.
This is what I intend to do, so help me God.

That’s why you’re to your offer letter and school invoice. Both should have your student ID number. The bank would take the number from the documents.

Yes Banks don't disclose balance to third parties o,i know of a man who got a call from his bank when UKVI called in and wanting to know the balance,the officer had to call him and make the call a conference call and the conversation was recorded,but i don't know how that works with Students Visa

Yes bank bank does disclose bank balance to the embassy, the embassy is not ordinary 3rd party and the applicant willingly give the embassy the right to the statement, so you are wrong.

Guys what just wise is saying is the truth attached is a mail from UKVI trying to an applicant POF ..but they mistakenly sent it to the the applicant instead of the bank.... Justwise forgive me for posting this here but just to silent some people regards this issue..

@Justwise, Banks do not disclose balances to embassies without customer's consent. If the Bank receives a request to confirm the balance, they must the holder for his consent. if he gives consent, they disclose. If some banks do it and the holder gets wind of it, he has a good cause of action against his bank for breach of confidentiality, and so, banks avoid doing this. I understand some bank officers have given these confirmations without customer consent, but the cases where there are blow backs from this breach of due process, you will not hear of it because banks will protect their image and usually fire the staff that erred.
so, in cases where balances are required, customer's consent is a requirement for disclosure, but I do not see any applicant declining to give consent when you have a pending application. Even if the applicant has given embassy consent, the bank will still obtain their own consent from their customer because whatever consent the customer gave the UKVI is unknown to the bank, because the consent was not given to the bank.

Yes there is a difference. Didnt dispute your statement, simply pointed out that pension isnt allowed. So it's left to the applicant to decipher if what they have is a pensions saving or pension fund

Careful with that agent, he might want to add another person to your application as dependant or whatever, it is possible. Heard one guy mention he fell victim in one Twitter space I was on. Be careful.
