The only set of people that does that are yahoo boys. They have this conviction that by midnight they’d “jam” an unfortunate white person whose paycheck will cover for the loss.

That victim is a fraudster that was scammed by a local fraudster.

Please don't make such conclusion. Some people don't like stress and even when you cheat them, they would hand over your case to God and move on. I would have been happier if the scammed guy dropped details, but his non compliance to that doesn't make him a criminal.
