Please i need help for a friend. She's a lawyer and has been denied visa twice. She is going for her 3rd attempt however a lot has changed. For her first and second interview, she was going for masters in public in one school with no funding, now for the 3rd attempt she is going for a law program(llm) in another school, this tiime she got partial scholarship.

The reason she changed her school is the first school does not offer LLM and she did not get any funding. She changed her course because she said her second interview went well but the VO kept asking why a lawyer will go for public istration?

Please when asked what has changed or why the change of school and course, what can she say?

Failure to complete and submit is the main reason why it was denied.

Hi please I would like to know when submitting i20 for ea, did you a signed i20 I.e you g where you ought to sign on the form or the one that came from the school without your own signature

You don’t i20 when filling ds160 only port photograph

You signed the i20 yourself if you are 18 years and above. Below 18 years the guardian or parent sign on their below.

Make sure your i20 is signed before going for your interview

My program is for summer 2022 and and i got denied EA at abuja, on my portal it still show i can still apply for an EA. The question now is do I abandon it and pay for a new visa fee and if i’m doing that do i need to fill another ds-160

You can still use same ds160 and no need to fill another one provided you are okay with what you filled there.

Try and use it to apply for EA still it’s showing but if the site update after 24-48 hours it might not be showing request EA.

Give it trial and if it doesn’t work then get a new visa fee and request for fresh EA

The tentative travel date that I selected when applying for EA was 1st of August 2022. And I ed the following document

I-20 (unsigned)
Sevis document
A letter from the school that state Orientation program start day.

But the request was denied.

Tho I was denied a Visa last year, so I deferred my ission to fall 2022.


Kindly advice.

You didn’t meet all the requirements for an emergency appointment. Most obvious is the 60-day criteria.

Do try to read the FAQs from that website as suggested in the mail you received.

Personally, I’d advice you do HND here and apply for PhD. HND is 2years and you can run it in a private polytechnic.
