Oh Lord make ASSU call off their strike ooo...WES had issues with my transcript when I applied for course by course evaluation, school is closed to even send official transcript and Crandall is saying they can't accept student copy of my transcript. This country is just tiring. Almost 2 months now ASSU strike . God please intervene |

I am curious about this process ,what is the reason they are not starting eligibility review for some people and how long on the average would one really have to wait for it ?

Hello good evening everyone , I'm on the verge of applying for my second application with the use of the new IRCC portal , please is it 100% safe to use and would you recommend for someone that has previously used the normal route? - I will really appreciate if i can get the link to the portal - Also is there any criteria to fit in ? I await your inputs , thanks so much. |

Nobody can categorically answer this. Only visa officers know how they choose to handle applications. And as it's been said multiple times before, eligibility can have started in the background but not updated. ninab: |

Femiwap:No you can't apply for an MSC You can only possibly get ission for a Physics related PG.CERT program in a College (based on your Academic background if no study gap) Or a PG.Cert in Business Management program in a College under the condition your work experience is Business related |

Merely paying part of the tuition fee doesn't 'necessarily' boost your chances of approval. You are mainly required to show that the overall fund is readily available and to address lump sum. If your school doesn't require a tuition deposit, I won't advise paying deposit. Iamgrac: |

Daslimo:I guess you are the guy doing PhD in Japan and want to go for another PhD in Canada. Please do well to convince the VO in your sop the reason why you want to go for another PhD in Canada when you have already started a PhD in Japan. A guy in China doing a PhD was refused on the basis of intent. The VO was like why going for another PhD when you have already started a PhD in China?. Goodluck!!! |

Hello Holuwatoyin I don't think this is true.. No school have personal agents for Visa Processing.. Some schools like Fanshawe have agents for just ission purpose but not Visa Processing... Peace Holuwatoyin201: |

Scott99tish: Travelling with liquid cash of just $100 dollars might be too little for your immediate needs except you already have it sorted out how you can get cash from other sources pending when you are able to withdraw from the bank. Maybe within the range of $800 to $1500 might be okay becuase you never can tell the immediate expense you will meet. But you will know better regarding your plans. I thought to give you heads up. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hello Lamgrac Even though payment of school fees doesnt guarantee study permit approval, it increases your chance of getting your application approved because paying of school fees tells the Visa of the applicant's commitment to his or her proposed study in Canada.. When paying the Fees, make sure you let the Visa officer know that you have more than enough funds for your studies and living expenses all through your stay in Canada.. Peace Iamgrac: |

My brothers and sisters, Does Canada accepts GIC from micro finance as a POF for student visa? Holuwatoyin201: |
ShallyK: 12:51am On Apr 14, 2022 |
GIC is done with a Canadian bank but you have to fund it via your personal Dom acct. So yes, if you have a Dom with a micro finance bank in Naija, you can use that to fund your GIC . Lezy: |

Well, I have a partner there. Not searching for accommodation as a bigger accommodation for us has been secured. She’s coming to pick me. So I don’t need any cash. That’s why I’m trying not to waste money that I won’t need. olasubomy: |

Hi, You are mixing two (2) things together… GIC - Guaranteed Investment Certificate is a Canadian investment that offers a guaranteed rate of return over a fixed period of time. A layman meaning, Opening a fixed in Canada from here as they issue you a certificate to use as evidence of having the money fixed over there in Canada for the use as they will be giving you at intervals. They have some banks over there that offer GIC. Talking of Micro-finance, You want to show your funds for SOA (Statement of ) So don’t mix it with GIC. Yes you can use Microfinance, subjected that it’s a verifiable source… Regards. Lezy: |

Hello Jeffi7 Not sure if anyone had answered you but let me add this, Upkeep through bank? Not sure what that means in bank but you can always apply for PTA any amount not exceeding $4k, you can just do $1k and in 2-3weeks (depending on bank) you will get it once you have your Visa you can apply for it, either way, will advice you just hold few box of cash Naira or US and change at the airport (Please do not change large amount, cause their rates are ridiculous compared to how much Canada Banks will change USD to CAD for you), you can also do aboki for few 100 box, once you get a CAD bank , you can move funds using apps (Lemonade, Exchanger etc) to your easily and at convenient rates.
