Lithuania is an irrelevant European country which is heavily dependant on , their total population isn't up to 1/5th of Lagos, same.with their GDP, they don't even have much exports and will incur more cost buying oil from US or middle east based on landing cost., Its a stupid irrelevant decision by a president who wants to be woke. We have many kids becoming presidents in Europe, they rode on the back of younger generation demand of snowflakes this is why many European countries aren't able to stand up to speak for themselves thats why we have more puppets like Zelensky , who would rather dance to the tune of the west than stand for what's right for their people. How can you be a president and your country is under siege, your people refugees, your land desolate ,investments and all country activities halted and your people dying, just because you wish to please the west. 8 Likes |

bakar007: Gas not Crude. Didn't Russia notice they were small when they decided to be selling to them and taking their money? Now that they have dumped Russian gas you are now calling them insignificant. Tell that to Russia who didn't think so when they decided to sell to them. Abi na dash Russia dey dash them gas? 2 Likes |

GardenOfGod:Nobody "blows" from selling gas Those who blow are those who use gas, who know how to use it to create jobs and power their economies There is a direct relationship between how much energy a nation USES and how wealthy it is not how much energy it SELLS We need to use more gas and if necessary import more 2 Likes 1 Share |

Lithuania is only showing sympathy to Ukraine. But they ( Lithuania ) got to becareful. I think the Russian are interested in the German market for gas that why they develop the nordstream. 3 Likes |

leathalbeast: Incidentally and others will disconnect. This is inevitable. The glaring point here is that Europe has been shown the way it is done. Since they all have the desire to disconnect from Russia this just makes the whole process not only easier but more practicable 1 Like |

Igbofam: Lithuania is a midget. I doubt the population is up to 2m. It is far easier for them to cut off all Russian gas imports. For a country like , this will take some time. Note: I am not a er of the invasion. 2 Likes |

Randerl:The population isn't significant here, they glory is that they have break away and are now independent. This your question is irrelevant. Just like asking for the population on Ghana because they are enjoying uninterrupted power supplies after breaking away from Nigeria. There population doesn't matter what matters is that Ghana is enjoying self sufficient power supply 2 Likes |

Igbofam: Think before you talk please. What is the volume of Gas Lithuania consumes or purchases from Russia? She consumes barely 30,000 cubic every year (85 per day) so LNG can serve her needs. Her consumption is 0.1% of global consumption so it's negligible. She can also afford to pay higher in the short term. Let Poland, and Co do the same then I will pay attention. I hope you know the German Chancellor announced today that they will continue buying Russian Gas but will only pay in Euro,? Let that consumes 8.6 billion cubic DAILY pull out first then we know it's serious. Lithuania? I laugh 2 Likes |

plrvipclub: Am not a fan of Trump but I very well when he shouting back then that Europe especially should reduce their dependence on Russian gas because Putin might use it as a weapon in future but Angela Merkel took the advice like a pinch of salt. Trump also queried NATO countries for reducing their defense spending allowing only the U.S to be funding bulk of the organization. Nuclear power plants produces cheaper electricity than Gas but has closed many Nuclear power plants because of Gas from Russia. 4 Likes |
