I wouldn’t know why someone advised you to get an inverter freezer, but an inverter freezer doesn’t guarantee longer retaining hours, it only helps reduce power consumption if you are on prepaid. You can go for Thermocool.

no no no. all these inverter devices DO NOT SAVE ENERGY. what they do is clip the high starting current of the compressor. if you are running a medium sized gen, you always know when your normal ac picks. same for your fridge, water pump, water cooler. they are have motors/compressors which have high starting current when they start

it is a misconception/dodgy marketing when there are claims that these inverter devices are low power consumption. they aren't. but they will not kick your petrol engine gen anytime they restart , as they have a managed starting current.
