Popular American R&B singer, Ne-Yo has said he wished he was the one who came up with hit song, “Essence” by Wizkid

Ne-Yo said this in a recent interview with American entertainment magazine, NME while discussing about the songs he liked.

When asked about a song he wish he had written, he responded with Wizkid’s “Essence“.

According to him, ‘Essence’ is one of those records that just makes sense and he wishes that he had thought of it first.

Ne-Yo also mentioned that he was proud of Wizkid’s moves, adding that he was one of the new generation artistes he respects. Cleaning Services In Nigeria

“I met him once, real quick guess he wouldn’t but I’m super proud of that dude for making the moves that he’s making. He’s one of the new generation that I can genuinely say I respect.”

The song is cool but i give it to that lady that sang with him...her voice gave the song a lift and nice beats too. Wizzy and Davido are really doing us proud.

One of the best to come out of Africa if I may say. He knows his onions, understands what cuts across board and gives a hit on it. If u want to remain relevant in today's music world, sit ur ass down, analyse the music trend and what listeners want, then wrap ur song around it with clean and rich concept.

It is legendary , why won’t you say herd mentality when you’ve never been to a studio

Am so pumped right now. For those of us wey actually sabi music, we know who ne-yo is in love songs. Wizkid is the granddaddy of frog voice.
Frog voice can market anything and sell, including shit. I give him that.
