OP, your friend needs to understand something, Nigerian women do not like competition. It's not about light skin vs dark skin. They see fair guys as their competition. They want to want be the attractive person in the relationship. Nigerian women also don't like men that know how to cook. Most Nigerian women feel intimidated by men who know how to cook as they cannot impress such a person. It's the same way a lot of Nigerian men are intimidated by women who are richer than them or are more educated than them. You cannot intimidate a woman who is wealthier and more educated than you.

Forget about the lack of finance comments here. Majority of Nigerians who are married are not rich. In fact, poor people get married faster than rich people. This is a fact. Nigerians are a very competitive and dominating people. We don't like to be second best at anything.
