Another thing is Unnecessary wickedness.

Some people can be so unnecessarily wicked that you begin to wonder.

Someone would do something wicked of which he/she will not gain anything.

So many people are only waiting for you to cross their path, so they can harm you.

Even if you try to avoid it,

somehow or other, he/she would still find a way to do you harm.

This character underlines why there is so much backwardness and poverty in this world(particularly in the third world countries where wickedness is the order of the day), even though there is so much wickedness.

It is because most people are wicked but they don't gain anything from it.

If people were to gain from wickedness,then most people (particularly Africans) would have lived above poverty.

They would have enjoyed good health and better/long lives.

So wickedness is mostly unnecessary.

A good example of these set of people are public universities lecturers.. Like how would you derive happiness in failing students. Its not like your salary increment or job promotion is proportional to how many students you fail. That's how one lecturer joyfully sent the number of students that failed his course to us. You could see/hear the pride in his voice as he was showing us..

People celebrating mediocrity to ingenuity.

It only requires a proud person to imagine that he/she can insult and abuse everyone because he/she is higher than all.

For example, you can see a final year student of the University,

and you try to relate with him, but he would be insulting you, with the mind that he is higher than you academically.

He doesn't even stop to think that you could be a Masters student.

He just conclude in his mind that he is higher than everyone in the school, because he is in final year.

I when in camp, some corpers were insulting one of the officials, asking why someone like him have to address them on an issue which I have forgotten.

It turned out later that the man was a PhD holder.

This is the kind of pride that characterizes human interaction.

People don't want to know, they just assumed things out of pride.

I know some people may use pride to characterize their new promotion, job, and etc.

But must you characterize your next level with pride?


Although I know some people who became very humble due to promotion, good job, and etc.

I have a friend who got flared up easily by petty issues and funny enough his own case is always over the bar but he won't see anything wrong with it.. e.g we may buy something or maybe I bought it by myself and I decided to take a tip from it, he'll be acting odd to the extent that he'll start reacting and you'll easily know he's angry about something, He'll quickly go and get his own and use it alone and me As I dy, I no dy look Iyabo face cos my time na my age, I no dy like waste am on silly things he go rant and rant I no go care, na my other friends wey notice am go come ask me say I know notice say he change I go just laff cos when the thing tire am he go compose

Like how do people take someone else's life.. Not due to anger or self defense, or mistake but for petty things like money making, cultism, and robbery.. Like I've tried putting myself in a killer's shoe. But the only way I see myself taking someone else's life is if I'm not human.

Very true. The Corper's pride and tendency to insult anyone aspect is very real.

I once faced an issue with that. I was to be taking a class and in the curriculum which teachers were to study we had different teaching styles for different topics such as
Lecture methods
Questions and answers methods
Discussion sessions
But some don't follow the pattern and the class is always seen for a chatting and gists which is not related to learning anything related to the study of the day.

We were having a meeting with the Npower ppl when one of them although late Sat on the stack of chairs instead of removing just one.My senior colleague called his attention to it. You won't believe how this guy who we later discovered was just an "OND graduate" flared up and warned him/us to respect his person(computer Engineer). That not all of them are O level. SMH.

Fool that was referring to ppl with B. Eng. as the least qualification with that simply dressed petite man having a PhD and more.

The most shocking one is when someone down plays or refuse to see sacrifices & struggles of a person. When most importantly, the person did those things for the other.

I feel your worries. On a second thought, I think you may need to spice up your style of teaching. Give room for little chats here and there. Loosen up. I am sure your students think you are too uptight. A bit of informality could really endear you to them.

We dated for about 2 years... Let me say I dated myself for about 2 years - because I got to discover the day she told me that we were just friends. Truly as at then I was a church boy and very naive. That really broke me. I ended the call and refused to take her calls. She kept calling and messaging severally until I eventually found peace and started talking to her again. Ever since then I acted as 'just a friend' I was supposed to be. Later we both relocated to different places and only talk occasionally.
I got the greatest shock yesterday, when I got a voice note on how she emphatically denied that we were even ever cordial.
This is the girl that paid me visits at Ife while I as an undergraduate, all the way from Ilorin. There was this popular cafe at Challenge in Ilorin back then, I can't its name anymore; that was where I helped her to open her first ever email and Facebook s .
Some of my relatives who thought we were dating gave approval, they said we would make a good couple.

She said "we don't talk again, and that while we talked it wasn't deeply".

One day I drove a lady, she waved to me. I stopped and picked her up ...as we were discussing..I told to hold on on food vendor while I do some work. I gave her money to buy food and wait...only to return there, she's no more

Well wetin shock the most is how people will say come and eat/ me but na only one spoon dey inside the food.

Absolutely no character shocks me anymore from people - we are innately bad people (at our lowest spiritual levels)

As soon as we mature spiritually - we ascend to levels where bad character smells horrible and we cannot stand it
