Bro, just carry your 2.2 and look for money.
Travel away from Nigeria for your masters and you are good to go.

Yes you take the wrong decision...

In my opinion, you took the right decision judging from the reasons you stated.

Graduating with a 2.2 in Nigerian universities these days is not easy.

You will get a good job depending on what you have to offer. So, develop yourself my brother. It's not the 1st class, 2.2 or 2.1 that matters sometimes.

You can write a professional course (ICAN, CIIN, CIPM etc) to augment your degree.

I wish you the best

As far I am concern, you taken a right decision. In Nigeria one extra year can turn to 5 years and you know the more extra years you spend on a course the lesser grade you will get.

You took the wrong decision. Trust me. You'll regret it.

You should have stayed and write it. You may feel it's a long time but it's not.

He has even taken the decision self
A very terrible decision and would be regretted!!

2.2 has nothing to do with your success in life. You can pursue academic to PhD with it.
Initial search for jobs may post some challenges, later in life, your CV is all that matters. The class or school attended may not be necessary.

Make your choice anyways.

Sorry to say, if you were fit for a 2 1, you won't have failed two courses in your final exams except there's a reason for that. Just go with the 2 2 that you deserved and got.

My brother u made the best decision oo

My school (FUTO) u must pay school fees, borrow other courses to get up to 15 units...

Since it's two semesters, u might still pay for accommodation...

There is still high probability that at the end u might end up with the 2.2...

If you have agreed to come back and write the exam those people would have make your life a living hell, that's when you will hear missing script again, they will also question your attendance. The truth is you did not settle for less, you settle for moving forward.
You are now a graduate, now you can look forward to other things in life than school.
Moving forward is where success lies not sticking to one school.
no matter what, we move.

I wrote my final exam in July this year, few weeks later I was in Delta when my course adviser called me to come to school (Uniben), that it's a matter of urgency, I went to school, then I meet her in the HOD office. She told me I failed two courses in my final exam. She said the department is going to upgrade one to "grin" then wave the other one to me but by imprecation I will graduate as a 2.2 student.
When, I thought about it if I should accept it or come back again to write the two courses (one in 1st semester and the other in 2nd semester) to get 2.1. it was a hard decision for me to make but then I made the decision to accept the offer because of the following reason.
1. Uniben is becoming too stressful/ I'm already tired.
2. The financial expenses involved
3. Economics department in Uniben is not a joke.
4. The probability of me getting "A"s if rewrite the two courses is very low.
5. ASUU and strike
Based on the following reasons I accepted the offer, result came out I graduated as a 2.2 student but some how I started feeling sad. Though 2.2 is not the best but then I also graduate myself. I can't come and kill myself ( schooling in Nigeria university is like war).
If I may ask, did I took the wrong decision?

You would have taken an extra year and your 2.1, 2.2 won’t qualify you for like 90% of jobs in current day Nigeria, but anything is possible, work and pray hard. If you are reading this try get atleast 2.1 o very important
CSTRR: 9:15am On Sep 22, 2021
The difference between 2.1 and 2.2 is great in the labour market.

There are jobs a 2.2 can't apply for.

If you are a student here, don't make the same mistake.

Even if it is two extra years, stay and get your 2.1.

Always try first and fail before you conclude. All you needed was a little more push. As small as you may think the difference is, a 2.1 opens so many doors in Nigeria and outside Nigeria for you

Young man better used that extra one year to go and enhance you degree by enrolling in a masters programme...there are tons of 2.1s and First class products littered over the job market with nothing to hold on to.

I may even graduate with 3rd class and I don't care, I have skills to monetize and that is what matters to me. Make money and leave this country. You have many Years ahead of you, 4/5 years cannot decide your fate in life.

I didn't graduate with a 2.2.

I equally have experience just like you mentioned. But when you and a 2.1 person have the same years of experience for a job, the result will be the tie breaker.

Op gave in too quickly. I mean, how can you study just two courses for a whole year and not get A on both? The financial implication? Well, he would see in time that it was never the problem.

Op, I hope you don't come here with series of thread saying why 2.2 graduate are marginalized.

All the best.

Why can’t they just give your fail score? That’s what you deserve. Nigerian system and favoritism.
