Yes it is o to avoid any Matters Arising. If its a ghana must go, padlock and also wrap with nylon at the airport (not free o)

I think those paying for university accommodation should insist on having theirs done. It is being paid to the school, there should be no grounds for refusal.

I will still scout around. May just find a bank that will. I may also reach reach out to the council for some form of paperwork showing authenticity of my rent invoice.

My uncle wants to send me my tuition but not living expenses as I am to take care of that myself but my cousin who works in a micro finance bank has been begging me to open an and save the money in his bank as it would give him a huge credit at work .

My question is hope it won’t affect my visa application if I use a micro finance bank statement because I don’t want to take any risks.

If YES! to the first one, My second question is Can I use two bank statement as I have my living expenses in my First bank .

I want to share an hack for tls appointment that worked for me.
It was my dependent application, we applied on 24th Aug which was a Tuesday and got biometric appointment for Wednesday 9am. All we did was to choose the lounge service which is #42,000 same as walk-in, at first we got a far date, after receiving the confirmation email, we logged out, then we went back to ukvi site, got redirected to tls and clicked on amend appointment, stayed on the site for some minutes and a new early date popped up, we clicked it and checked out, again received another confirmation mail. We did this a third time and we where able to get a next day appointment.
Note that this means you will receive multiple confirmation mails from tls, all you have to do is print the ist page and attach the other pages from your first confirmation mail in other to show the services you paid for because the new dates will have zero naira for added services on it.
You can do this as many times as you want, I guarantee early new dates will come at intervals and you should be quick to click because its fastest finger first o.
It heartbreaking for me when I read how frustrating walkin is becoming, just pay for lounge and you don't have to suffer for biometric. Did you know that with Lodge you wouldn't have to go through the down and upstairs queues, you are treated special especially when you quickly announce that you are for lounge.My husband walk in and out of tls ikeja last Wednesday majestically that I was jealous, he spent less than 40mins

This is really expository but do you think that this trick of re-ammending appointment dates can work without the lounge service?

Question please. For those whose parents are their sponsors, and are also using change of name affidavit/newspaper clip (if parent's last name is different from theirs), do they need to go with the affidavit to TLS?

There is a service for holding your port when you submit your application, but I don't know if the service is valid after you have already submitted. I advised you go to tls and find out

To be honest I'm not sure, the only two options I can think of:
1) Go to TLS explain the situation and hear your options ( I think there’s an option for keep port)

2) Send mail, explaining situation and requesting for your port.

Please which school is this? How many days did it take to get your CAS. Did it jump from 69% to CAS issued? I’m in 52% and it’s taking forever. I just sent them a message like you suggested.

@Sisipainter, is your school Ulster University? I have the same issue with CAS Shield. Currently at 54%, it has been moving 2% everyday for 4 days now.

For guys that can't wait till the end of 10days quarantine for some reasons should read the article below;


Under the Test to Release scheme, you can choose to pay for a private COVID-19 test on day 5. If the result is negative (and the result of your day 2 test result was negative or inconclusive) you can end your quarantine.

You cannot take your Test to Release test until you have been in England for 5 full days.

The scheme is voluntary and applies to those quarantining in England only.

Good morning everyone, been quite busy to pen this down.

Biometrics- july 8(standard) for me and 2 dependants
1st not straightforward mail- july 20th for myself
1st not straightforward mail- july 26th- dependants
2nd not straightforward for 3 of us- August 3rd
3rd not straightforward for myself- August 4th

Then i got a call from the Home office without notification asking if i can go on with an interview, i said yes but call dropped. I was sent a mail 35mins later scheduling me for 9th of August, 2pm. 9th came they didn’t call. Around 3:52, i saw uk missed call on my ALTERNATIVE LINE wch I tried to call back but kept bouncing back.

I sent series of paid mails and called the call centre but all responses were, you will be ed.

Then i got another call on Friday asking if i am ok to go on with the interview, another yes and this lasted for 1hr 34mins because i gave them full/plenty points on questions asked.

By 18th of August i called and told its still awaiting a decision. I told the lady that its past 15 working days i did biometrics and i want it escalated, i told the person the type of visa i did.

20th, I received a mail from pretoria saying i was under mandatory checks and its still processing.

24th of August my dependants collection mail came wch I collected the following day.
25th, past 5pm mine entered wch I collected on friday.

I declared 4 uk visits refusal, 1 uk visits for myself
3 uk visits refusal for my dependants also.

It took them 32working days before returning my port with visa. I was really worried, i fasted alot, praised alot(all with a sincere heart o) still prayed to God to give me a strong heart if it will be a refusal but I GIVE HIM ALL THE GLORY COS IT ENDED IN PRAISE.

I left Naija through Qatar Airways on Sunday 29th,(ticket was booked on Thursday after I collected my dependants visa) and on getting to uk border, the C.O asked, who are these beside you, i told him my daughters(1 was almost my height), asked name of my sch,course, duration, and if i have visited before and if i had any immigration problem in the past, I answered all. i was told to step asidewith my dependants for more investigation to be made. I was scared but I kept my calmness, gave my daughter my phone to send msg to her father(he stays in the UK), my sister and my pastor should incase anything comes up. I didn’t press my phone at all. And within 30mins i was released to go.

ONLY GOD’S MERCY!!!

Our visa processes differs, if there is any mistake you might have made and no how to correct it, speak to God, where one can’t reach, HIS MERCY AND FAVOUR will get there.

God will see everyone through. Aamen.
