I think you should try first. I applied where I had work experience (Marketing). Your work experience is what will cushion the weak grade. Please note that a referral from your place of work will go a long way too so I don't know exactly how that will work seeing as you've been out of a job for years now.

Those people are pretty flexible though. You never know until you try. So try. All the best

Please I need help from anyone who has gone through this.

I got married when I got a job in the UK. My court wedding was in the morning and I left for the UK that same day at night. My concerns is, when I was applying for visa, I put unmarried partner in my relationship status. Now, I want to bring my partner over, my fear is, hope our marriage won't be an issue because of the time of marriage.

Also, about our different surnames, I am the wife already in the UK, will I need to do a change of name to my husband's? Even though all my documents and COS carries my maiden name. Do we need a change of name?

He also applied for tourist visa around January this year but was denied because his funding is insufficient, will that affect his visa application this time?

Thirdly, he was a Dubai resident , stayed there for about 5yrs but he does not have police certificate from Dubai. He can't go back now because his resident is expired. Must he submit both Dubai and Nigeria police clearance or he can make do with Nigeria own, even though, his Dubai resident is reflecting in his port?

Any ideas or advice?

3. My course is a 2 years course and £7500 per year and deposit of £4000....so for my POF, is the tuition balance the balance for only the 1st year (i.e 7500-4000) or the balance of the total tuition for the 2 years (i.e 15000 -4000) ?

5. What should I budget for Visa processing, TB test, Covid Test, IHS and any other charges excluding tuition and maintenance.

Your course is 2yrs.
you need to show funds for only 1st year. ie, 7500 - 4000 + maintenance for 1st year.
That is what the school will put in your CAS mail.

It could actually even take more than 6 hours, don't forget you're in Nigeria... It'll amaze you to know that while you do the X-RAY in Nigeria, the test is actually done outside Nigeria( I think the chest X-rays are sent to radiologists in Kenya and Philippines, who would now examine the graphs and send back the results)... Prepare to spend the entire day there, that way, you would be more relaxed...

Yes, they pay same amount for ihs and visa fee as adult dependents.

Complete your wife's details under current partner.

The section asking if you are traveling together should be NO. However, if your POF covers her already, you may input YES but state in ADDITIONAL INFORMATION that she is not applying at this time because her port is not ready.

My appointment was 8am and was out just after 10am.

Varying factors make you stay longer I guess. Family size (yours and those ahead of you on the queue), time of appointment, having your necessary printouts on hand, availability of doctors for assessment, being available and attentive when your name is called for certificate collection.

Googled Standared Chartered bank and discovered they have a branch in Isaac John street, same street where IOM office is in ikeja. Please can anyone confirmed this? (That the bank is really on that street) so i can just get to the bank and pay then get back to the TB office. Thanks

You can do a bank transfer and print out the Proof of payment before your appointment day. You don’t have to walk into the bank to make the payment.

My POF contains the tuition fee balance after deposit for CAS has been deducted + my maintenance amount of GBP9207. This is the POF I have been maintaining for 28 days. I just paid my tuition fee deposit today for CAS issuance but not from the POF I have maintaining for 28 days.
Am I on the right track? Or I should have maintained the total tuition for 28 days.
Please I need clarification.

You are on the right track, they’ll still deduct the fees you paid from your POF. No stress.

You can go to the IOM centre in Abuja. Explain to the security officials there and they will give you a piece of paper showing the number they will use to attend to you.
