Read the history of the church and you will discover Boko haram is child's plays. The church burn people alive in the name of God.

Tell them, the Church’s history is riddled with all sorts of atrocities and crimes. Added to their conquests and forced conversions, they also participated in the enslavement of Africans shipped to Brazil to work in the plantations, telling them them to obey their “masters”.

And so did the Vikings, Romans, French, Brits, Spanish and other numerous conquerors back in stone, wood and metal age.
What I'm yet to understand is how this relates to Boko Haram, etc killing people unnecessarily in this age?!

Well crusades same as jihad

Some time ago I watched on Al Jazeera the way in which the crusades spread "Christianity". It was all bloodshed. That's why we need to pray for the kingdom of the Almighty to come. Religion has done so many harms to humanity.

All that he wrote are facts of history. But you know what it’s not from my mouth that you will hear that “the mother of a King is a witch”

The church? Let's be specific here friend.. Say the Catholic church burned people alive. The apostate Catholic church. Not the church of Jesus Christ. Jesus and his disciples never forced nor burnt anyone alive.

Comparing The Church and this current terrorist Boko Ha ram is Unfair, At least the Church gave you a chance to accept or be killed, however Boko Ha ram bombs people en mass with no chance to say yes or no to their religion.

What then is the difference?

This is the bitter truth. The Crusaders were worse than the present Boko Haram. Thought, their menace was done in a primitive century. Boko Haram are monsters in the 21st century( the age of civilization and globalization). This means Boko Haram's action should never be justified with any assumption or hypothesis. Boko Harams are monster

If you know what was done to the Native Americans, the real owners of the land that holds modern day USA/Canada and South American countries... In the name of God... You'll stop feeling any stupid religious superiority over other religions. Be thankful that you are alive in a time where that doesn't exist anymore, and focus on your own personal relationship with God instead of trying to prove that your religion is superior.

The church did the same and bible was used to justify these atrocities.During spanish inquistion, christian converts were killed because they were believed not to be genuine christians.

The old and Present muslims(ISIS)day learnt fighting for God from European christians. These jihadis are sponsored by Europe to commit these atrocities on native population.
Both are two sides of the same coin.
It will surprise you Israel was airlifting ISIS fighters for treatment in Israel. used muslims in the 2nd world war to fight jihad, they simply bribed the Imans to brainwashed followers to the fight.
Religion is a rich/elite mans trick to play on the intelligence and mind of the masses.
Fighting for God is a scam, religion ever promoted.

Isn't it interesting that when one thinks of the ills of Christianity in the ancient and medieval age, one quickly tags it a "Catholic" thing?
But when it's something good, everybody will argue that it was Christianity.

This is the problem with some of these bloggers like Freeze and Omokri. They generally have rational sentiments about national issues and world issues, but they allow the pride and flaw associated with man to overtake them sometimes, then they start to say crazy things.

So this thing he's saying now, is he justifying the unconscionable killings of Bokoharam?
Because he is sort of defending them the way it sounds.

These are historical facts. The Catholic church killed millions of Christians who refused papal supremacy and doctrines. They were called "heretics". Many including women and children where fed to lions in amphitheaters while spectators cheered on, others sawed and burnt at stake. History refers to this period as dark ages

Sadly, history will repeat itself. Those who refuse the mark of the beast will be denied the right to buy or sell, fined, locked up and killed.

All this will be done under the guise of ensuring the common good, and of protecting the environment (climate change).

Although the covid 19 vaccine is not the mark of the beast, it is being used as a dress rehearsal. Soon those without the vaccine will lose their jobs and denied their rights.

Sadly, many will this persecution under the mistaken belief of ensuring or safeguarding the " common good'

Reno is foolish for that comparison. So because oyibo used church for bad agenda, we Africans should suffer for it.

Even Islam did worse than the crusaders in the olden days but the difference is that christianity dropped all those things and came out reformed while Islam is still wallowing in violence up till today.

And Reno is here capping trash.

We are in 2021! undecided

What would bring a one to compare the daily atrocities committed by a terrorist group, even in 2021, to the terrible pasts of Christianity that date as far back as over 200 years ago? undecided

Many of us don't know the history of Christianity.

Once upon a time, a Christian was automatically a Catholic and the Pope was the leader. The church was so powerful that they burned witches, burned and killed gruesomely anyone who challenged the littlest of the Bible and Catholic teaching. Scientists and freethinkers were not spared. There was only one set of doctrine, you bring in another thing you get killed.

The Anglican is an English Catholic.

Then came Mathin Luther, he spare headed the branch off of Protestant from Catholic. Somehow somehow, he escaped death and translated the Bible to other languages and made it available for other people to read.

Before Martin Luther made the Bible available, the Bible was only available in the church and accessible only by the priest and was only in Latin. In other words, the priest only read the part they deem fit. The brain washing then was really effective. You are told what to do and think, no questioning.

You would think Martin Luther is a hero right? Far from it. He ordered the killing of a some sect of Christianity that came up with their own doctrines just like he did to the Catholic.

Boko Haram are a saint compared to the evil Christians (both Catholic and Protestant) did some years ago.

In case you don't know, anything not Catholic or Anglican is Protestant in Christianity, that includes my dear RCCG. grin

Happy Sunday. grin

Also, I laugh when modern day Christians say Catholics and Anglicans are not real Christians, it just shows the level of ignorance. grin grin

Na them Catholic and Anglicans suppose dey tell us say we no be real Christians.

It's the hypocrisy, he was directing it at people who chose to focus on the religion rather than the group. We have plenty of them here on Nairaland that cannot differentiate between Islam and Islamic terrorists so imagine if Christians were forever damned by the actions of the church in the past.

If this was his intent, then what he said was just as irresponsible. undecided

This new song this guy now sings is fishy, is he trying to get sympathy from this Fulani Government for all the bashing he's been giving them so that when he, eventually, returns to Nigeria, he will not be in trouble?

True the English and other Christians carried on Crusades(Muslim version of Jihad) The Muslims also had jihads. It was actually an expansion of kingdom and they were backed by those churches. Stop misleading people. Those were in the old days. We Are in the modern times now. Muslims are killing wantonly, in This era where people like Reno can openly claim atheist. That's freedom.

All one has to do is read up on the early church and the atrocities they committed, then one will know just how bloody they history of Christianity is.

The Albegensian crusade is worthy to mention, where the Catholic Church slaughtered a whole group of people just to "protect the faith". Do I also need to mention the burning of 'witches' and heretics all over Europe just because they dared to have another belief other than the Catholic belief?

Should one want a pointer to the appalling atrocities committed by the Catholic Church, one only have to read "The Inquisition" by Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh.
it's not out of place to state same facts about islam from the origin it was war on any body tye prophet killed and raided , his marauders did worst than the Christiandom , religion was an enforcement in all forms
