I am a HSE professional.Dont let anyone deceive you.HSE 123 is as useless as k in knife.If you are so much interested in HSE profession, the minimum level you can start with is NEBOSH IGC which is many miles ahead of HSE 123 and it cost less than 300k.HSE 123 is not up to 40k.After your nebosh IGC,you can go for nebosh diploma and companies will seek for you world over.

If you have the ion for it then it's okay. First go for HSE level 1- 3 @ ISPON, that should be 70k. While running your Level 1 - 3 @ ispon liaise with any of those ISPON instructors they will guide you on what courses to run. But have it in mind that NEBOSH is the master of all HSE certifications. If you really want to go far in the profession you will certainly need it someday if not now but with your Ispon level 1- 3 and connection or God by yourside you could get a Job say from 50k upward for a start. Then gradually you can now save money to run international HSE certification such as iosh, osha, Nebosh etc. Don't get discouraged i wish you all the best

HSE awareness is becoming increasingly relevant in most industries, so its definitely worth upskilling anyway you can.

I started by doing HSE 1-3 as well, although I was sponsored by my previous firm at the time in 2019, so I'm surprised its at that cost now.

If you are considering practising HSE abroad though, I would consider doing the IOSH Managing Safely Course and/or NEBOSH courses.

These ones are more respected internationally, currently doing the NEBOSH Construction Certification as construction is my industry and is even more specialised with great prospects once you've finished.

Please, don't waste your money. There are several HSE courses organised free by NGOs and churches. Meanwhile, if there's a 99% assurance given to you by an employer that if you have the certificate you get the job, then you can go for it. Preferably, you can rather use the money to learn a skill. It is easier for someone in the field already to switch to HSE by doing some of the trainings on part time. HSE job is not ideal for a complete starter without experience.

It’s good to have HSE And EIA if you read science related course, but for Geology and Engineering graduates � that one na sure wallai....because na field you go practice all your life. If you go shop or supermarket work that one na for your pocket , if you bank or ministry office work na still for your pocket....

Have NEBOSH HSE certification. Don't know what to do with it. It's pointless investing 400k paper unless it's on the tech skills

I'm an HSE supervisor, level 1-3 won't cost you more than 80k, make sure you do it with ISPON, other certifying bodies are fake and not accepted by most companies like SHELL, agip etc..
Then you will need someone in the field that will teach you so that you will have practical field experience.
