Living faith Church aka Winner's Chapel through the spirit of God in him

He did not build any church.

He created a ministry and the people built the church.

It is quite unfortunate that people don't really get the true picture of what happened. As far as am concerned, one thing is to do what you are asked to do, another thing for you to get results. No matter how highly anointed you are, just pray that you are not posted to some environments that will suck your anointing dry. You will pray and fast but the results won't just come immediately. if you have not been there before you won't understand. A village with 50 Muslim,50 Catholic faithful, 100 traditional worshipers plus other ogogoro drinkers who have been there for 50years and you are posted to church without any member or few uncommitted/ frustrating with performance index stirring at you, may run you mad. I think the time giving to the pastor is too short for the him to get results. Many missionaries sent to Africa spent years before getting 10 but their labor of years made Oyedepo himself a Christian today.

What's in a Pastor that could not bring in souls into the Kingdom of God? What was he hired to do?
Am not surprised where we are today as a nation when we could not hold people able for the assignments that they were given.
The attitude of the Pastor is the more reason he failed, an entitlement mentality and he was rightly sacked.
And you that read it apply common sense, read the comment above.

Let’s stop all this hypocritical analysis please. What were the pastors employed for in the first place??.
So they want to continue lounging while they get free salaries. If you can’t stand the heat pls get out of the kitchen.

undecided undecided I wasn't going to comment on this topic until Oyedepo himself address this issue!

But Reno, got this all wrong!

You guys have become fishers of money and not fishers of men undecided chai! God must be a patient God oooo!

Now if the growth you are talking about is the physical growth:

Did the apostles win souls for Christ when He was with them I mean they were always going about with Jesus

And if the monetary aspect, many of the disciples STOPPED working when they met Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ has been taking care of every of their needs! Go and read Matthew 4:18–22, Mark 3:16-20 and Luke 5:1–11 , John 1:35–51!

So if BISHOP Oyedepo is really like Christ and is doing the work of Jesus Christ why can't he take care of his pastors need Or is God Almighty not a great provider again

Is Oyedepo now God Stop making mockery of God's name all in the name of looking for money!
Do you read Bible at all.
Jesus said, follow me and I will make you fishers of men.
Despite the fact that no mention of money was written in the letter, you guys still went to town with the financial narratives all in an attempt to embarrass the Church.

I don’t thinks this is about money..

In winners, the main duty of resident pastor is church growth i.e in numbers of people...

the fact is...no pastor can force people to give...Increase in number of people doesn’t necessarily translate to increase in money...

For example...if number of women( mothers are on the increase in a particular month. Automatically that’s double or triple because mothers will come with kids... but that won’t mean increase in offering or tithe...as children don’t give...

A pastor can’t drag rich people to church or force them to give so really he has no control over increase in money....

My opinion shaa

LoL... see analysis! Do you expect them to say it openly that it is all about money?

Make una keep decieving una self there, who doesn't know that the so called church growth is equivalent to offering and tithe growth? And by the way haven't we had more than enough churches in Nigeria already?

The media will always use people's minds and emotions the way they want. That's why I didn't bother to respond to that thread.

First, whoever believes that Winners Chapel will release such a letter and cite money reasons must be very very senseless in real life.

Second, the idea of dismissing a pastor out of service doesn't make sense. However, I do not expect an unproductive church to remain unproductive either. What are you doing as a Church if you don't attract new souls? Of course, more souls typically means more income for the church. So yeah, no one should be surprised when everyone focus on the money which they believe is the answer to all their life troubles.

If the church is not growing, what should the church management do? The right alternative should have been to change the leadership of the local church, not outrightly sack a pastor (unless there are genuine reasons to do so). He may thrive better in a new environment, or simply work together with other pastors in an established church. This is the norm everywhere.

It's mischievous to insinuate another meaning to what was written in black and white.

Yeah.but church growth success has been tested to work on the platform of continuous invitation....the fact is theses pastor that were sacked ddnt drive outreach enough...if you invite 20people everyday one will come...

it’s simple principle...companies out there use the same principle in marketing ...

Mr. Reno, can you link the fruitfulness of a tree to human attributes?
Is the pastor not bearing children?

Church growth? Financially or in population?

When some people left Jesus as he was preaching, did he drag them back? He even turned to the disciples and asked why they remained with him!

Winners must not mention money in that letter. Be fair, man.
After-all Bishop Oyedepo is a good business-man and he is trying to teach them sense of how to be productive.

And take the unproductive Pastor to go and mess up another section of the Church, this is the main reason we have failed as a nation, recycling failed politicians instead of sacking them.
I have said repeatedly that you guys should stop insinuating what was not written, the letter was clear enough, try and clear your mind

Who is his employer? God or the bishop/pastor he is supposedly working for?
He was employed by the Church. Ofcourse when you hear them at the interview, they will claim they have the call of God, it's obvious here that this Pastor has no call from God

what is wrong with this boy called baby freeze with challenging men of God that owe him nothing instead of challenging the government that owe him everything (obligations/duty) but do him? What is his problem with tithing? common boy freeze, find something useful with your time or rather face the people that have subjected you to unthinkable irrational mental dilution that's making you angry.
Orpe7(m): 6:22am On Jul 19, 2021
We all know it's centered around remittance so let's stop fooling ourselves
Church like politics is a game of numbers
More people more offering and tithes.
So when ure not remitting enough n u can't think outside the box to organise vigils or bring people to ur church that would make drop bar, they sack you

You win souls to GOD, not to YOUR LOCAL CHURCH. Evangelism is not an exercise to bring people to your local church, it is the act of reaching out to people with the gospel of Christ so that they can be saved. They don't need to attend your local church to grow, there are other churches where they can do that.
You got it!

Life doesn't have a one-size-fits-all rule. You can invite 20 people today and 1 person or more will respond accordingly. Tomorrow, you can invite 50 and nobody will respond.

Active evangelism is encouraged but why not focus on building the ones you already have in your care first before “fishing” for others? Jesus Himself had a multitude in the beginning but at the end, the number was narrowed down 12, and one of them wasn't even genuinely saved.
