After July 5, only vaccinated travelers can skip the hotel quarantine so yes I think you can book directly to the city you are going to

Once you submit your application, you will get biometrics appointment within 24hours then you can book for biometrics. As for your medicals you can’t do it at a government hospital. Only IOM and Q-life in Lagos and Abuja is what IRCC recommended

First of all, to my mind, that agent is WRONG!!! any government hospital? Who does that? How will you say any government hospital? and he/she has been doing agent for people!

Canada only accept two medical centres in Nigeria - IOM & Qlife

Chaii, that agent would have been telling people he/she has processed Canadian visas since 1900. I feel bad about how we treat ourselves in this country called Nigeria! Honesty is far from Nigerians.

You can submit your application without medical. After completion of your medical, an eSheet will be given to you. You have two options on notifying IRCC on the medical;

1. Do nothing and allow them to your medical result on your application which takes about 3-13 days.

2. the eSheet via the web form to the office dealing with your application. Most Nigerian applications are dealt with at the Nairobi office.

For now, Don't trouble your mind! Submit your application. Do your biometrics at the appointed time. After you have done your medicals, then proceed with any of the two above.

It will end in Praise.

Kindly check your spam folder. I got mine from GTB inside the spam folder as well.

Sadly, it doesn't work this way in Nigeria airports. Those airlines staffs work as if they are Canadian border officers . I was going for my semester 3. I have evidence of the completed semesters and enrolment confirmation for semester 3 starting in September but was refused boarding by Egyptair. They held it was too early to travel for September resumption. Me weh be old student already o. That's how I was turned down. I told them my visa was approved since November 2020 and was not in a hurry to japa but for where. I argued with them to take me there to face the border officer myself and take responsibility if returned by the border officer. Those airlines especially the ones operated by Africa countries won't board you. I explained my kids exemption letter were expiring and not certain about renewal and it was necessary to travel early to get enough time after quarantine to rent and find schools for them before resumption so I can balance their school runs and mine but for where. She categorically told me should wouldn't answer me again. Myself and other students were just treated like slaves in our own country. Hardest of it is the airline requesting fair difference and penalty payments to reschedule. Anyway we shall overcome all these ill treatment soon.
It is strongly advised to wait few weeks before resumption. Although I'm sure Airlines operated by Europe countries wouldn't go that far.

Happened to me when I was going back in May, even though I told them I’m done with school already, my study visa was still valid btw, they didn’t let me board lmao. U need to consider two major things
1. Is canada allowing direct flights at manitoba airport? Because i think they only opened 4 major airports montreal, toronto and two others.
2. Even if fully vaccinated, the rule still remains that a CBSA agent must clear you based on their rules that u are either hotel quarantine excempt or not. They will be the judge of that based on whether u are asymptomatic or based on several other factors surrounding the vaccine took and the card things.
Haven said this, the govt also advises u have a quarantine plan incase the CBSA agent say u re not excempt. My advise is that you do all the needful, book toronto land there sort our port of entry things and take a connecting flight to manitoba.
