These guys are bringing in a doctrine that is not in sync with the general tenets of the Yorubas (Iwa Omoluabi) and it will only birth serious internal contradictions. The allegiance of most of these folks is to some Sultanate in Sokoto. This is not bad in itself, but they have to reckon that the society up-north is a starkly different society with very different norms and expectations. The Sultanate is less of religion and more of ethnicity. It is one establishment that primarily serves the interest of the Fulanis (not even Hausa), it will never prioritize the interest of the Yorubas no matter how "Islamic" it is.
