After I got ission from the school with ission letter and tuition, I got scared cos the COA has increased from 50k I saw to seventy sth or maybe I didn't get their tuition right when applying but they gave me scholarship of 8k. I applied to 2 other scholarships but was not given. Then I was told to pay 1k enrollment and tuition deposit before my I20 can be sent. I was confused like deposit ke and visa is not guaranteed, was confused but I later did.

Optima Hotel. 8k for first night and 7k for subsequent nights. The embassy is just a 10 minutes walk from the hotel and the light is good as well.

You do not need to pay another mrv fee. Simply Update your DS 160 number on the CGI portal. It will be reflected on your visa appointment confirmation. Then reprint. Goodluck

There are hotels around but it depends on your preference.

*Demlis hotel can be found inside the Federal Civil service club and it's along Awolowo road. Just a few minutes walk(1km or less) from the Embassy or you find a means to get there.
Price range: 6-10k

*Bayland guest house is another hotel located at 54 Forsythe Street and less than 8 mins to US embassy.
Price range: 5-8k

Westwood Hotel Ikoyi located at Awolowo road too.
Price range: Unknown

Atlantic Hotel: Location is very close to USE

Buy your ticket

Mail your international student office (ISO) to ask for cheap hotels close to school for temporary stay while you get a permanent

Inform ISO of your arrival date so that they can wait for you on arrival

Convert your money and put in an you can access out there.

Okay, mine is showing my port is ready for pickup as well. Was thinking that I will be sent a specific mail telling me to come and collect my port. Although, I was sent a mail that my port is now at the collection center.

1. I want To know if career progression is a criteria for getting visa approved ? 2. I have two kids ages 3 and 2 who are US citizens. Can i apply for study visa with them? I mean can I state that they will accompany me while I study? Or will that be a red flag for refusal ?

Hello All,

While applying for a new visa appointment, the part to select visa priority is not showing on the website. Wanted to pick "previously denied" but I still have it as "Regular"

Meanwhile, The page still shows "Your port is still with the US Embassy/Consulate"

Can I go ahead with that or what is the way forward?
