The fact is that the new minimum wage has not been implemented in the tertiary institutions. This was one of the reasons SSANU went on trike. Before any arrears will be paid, it must be implemented into the salary first. That's only when the arrears will be known anyway

“But payment of the consequential adjustments for the new national minimum wage and the allowances that are encapsulated in our agreements contained in the earned allowance; these are still things that are lagging behind and there is no end in sight, to say the least".

Ermmm well let's just hope for the best. Cos its only pensioners min wage implementation and arrears payment which is to be made this month that I saw all over d news o our own has been silent and I believe it still is. Well sha like I said,let's hope for d best.

For those waiting for the arrears,I want to ask a simple question:

Since you have started working with the federal government, has there been any money they said that they would pay,that has been paid?

Has there been any rumor that certain amount of money would be paid, and it turned out to be true?

Have there been reports that certain things would be done to further enhance workers welfare, and the reports turned out to be true?

We all know the answer.

So let us stop bothering ourselves about the new minimum wage arrears.
