That is not the issue...

The issue is the purchasing power of the masses.

Bread may cost #1000, but when the purchasing power of citizens is fairly high, it won't be an issue.

During pmb's first coming as a dictator, bread was about 50kobo-70kobo, but it could be barely afforded. In 2002, average price of bread rose to about #50-#70, but it could be afforded.

The period you pointed out saw an increase of over 300%, but people could generally afford.

So it's not just a function of the actual increase in price, it is also has to do with how the government has so mismanaged the economy that generality of the masses are finding it hard to meet up with daily expenses.

Whats yours point exactly? What you wrote there is beautiful Nonsense

Is that not what people are complaining about ? The hyper inflation going and receding purchasing power of the people ...What he said was needless on this thread

The present exchange rate will definitely impact on rise of goods and services( inflation).

When Cameroon is still enjoying affordable living cost, things including common food is skyrocketing in Naija.

Many Nigerians will soon start perfecting their plan B as government is not interested on how the masses survive.

Na wa oo..the question is why has flour become more expensive? Why?

Cost of power to run plants?

1. Wheat importation ban when local production can't cover local demand.

2. VAT increase.

3. Dollar exchange. Everything becomes more expensive when exchange rate is high. Even a pap seller will adjust her price because the phone she used to buy at 10k is now 15k+ due to exchange rate.

4. Fuel prices. Like exchange rate, fuel increase also affects everything, not necessary only products that need petrol, even your landlord will increase house rent because where he sued to spend 2k on transport before is now 3k and other stuff like food items have increased in prices as well.

5. Electricity tariff increase.

Is it only flour that has become more expensive over time? Everything has become double or more in price to the price it was in 2015, flour shouldn't sunrise you

My IQ is clearly above 150 and I know yours probably between 80 and 97 ..Oga you can't match me intellectually in any field on Earth ....A thread is about the general inflation under Buhari yet you start talking of purchasing power like NIGERIANs have ever really earned enough or owned a Naira with any reasonable purchasing power ...The question I asked you still stands !!!!! What's the point of what you wrote?

Here in Abuja, they didn't hike the price.

What they did was to reduce the quantity.

N100 bread now is like N70 bread and N50 bread is like N30

The sector that is likely to create millions of jobs in Nigeria (Agric sector) is somehow the most abandoned sector.

We go de alright last last

It was hiked bro.
Grand is N600 naira
Next bread N700

God will not stop punishing Buhari with all his households including those heartless ers of evil.
If a common man can't afford a loaf of bread then what would be his essence of living? Man shall not live by bread alone but even the word of God has become too expensive too, pastors busy cashing out on their gullible followers. The more you pay the higher they will revere you.

As we go out looking for what to eat, may we never encounter what will eat us.

Our Holy Bible tells us that....
Jesus taught that prayer, somewhere around Palestine, Jerusalem area, where WHEAT PRODUCTION is a common practice. They commonly grow wheat, make flour and bake bread AT HOME 24/7....Including the over flat bread.
The prayer asks God to please give us our COMMON food to eat.
In Nigeria here, bread is NOT our common food.
We have to IMPORT flour from another country, setup and expensive complicated Engineering flour mill,
because we want to long-throat and eat bread. It isn't by force to eat the bread if it is becomes so expensive,
Nevertheless, God will still give us OUR OWN NIGERIAN COMMON FOOD to eat, garri, yam, sweat potatoes...

Insecurity=Inability for farmers to access their farm=No harvest=High cost agricultural produce=Hgh cost of staple foods=Reduced rations in families=Hunger in the Land.

For your information, BMCs and APC/Buhari ers are not exempted from this menace. The Hunger go waya all of us until we get sense!

NIGERIANS should learn how to bake bread and biscuit at home.

Yes Home made bread and Home made biscuits.

IT IS NOT A ROCKET SCIENCE.

The tutorial can be access online through your mobile phone.

If milions of home bake bread or biscuit from home that will fall the price of bread.

The same goes for subsistence agriculture.

Learn to grow vegetable, plantain, yam in your garden if you have one.

You only need to buy palm oil and meat from the market.

You can grow catfish in your compound.

That's a prayer meant to be from God's children to God. People that evil are not God's children, they should direct theirs to their evil dullard daddy. I will only add to that prayer that may it never be well with those ing this evil government.
