Good morning

Please I want to start a temporary business as a Bolt Driver before I got bank teller offer of ₦70,000 monthly.

A friend told me as a Bolt Driver you can earn up to ₦40,000 to ₦60,000 comfortably 6days in a week.
And if I work harder 7am to 7pm I could earn upto ₦80,000 weekly on Bolt.
But I need to invest by buying my own ride (I've just ₦700,000)

And with the Uber or Bolt I can get to meet many people and I can even freelance Real estate or Housing Agent while driving unlike the bank work that doesn't give you enough time.
Note: I just married and I need to Carter for ther family.

Please what your advise.

Trust me bolt driver is a better option for you. Forget the bank hype, its useless.

I have a cousin who is a bolt rider, the guy is balling. You need to see him chopping chicken and parfait every evening and still meeting up his financial demands as a family man.

make sure you get a very good car by going to the auto section of this forum to get good guys that can help you in selection so that you will not end up as an atm for mechanics

Bolt business is better. Some people make as high as 40k on saturdays only. Some make close to 50k on festive days. If you like suffer head and stress go for the bank job. You can try the both of them sef and see how far

Bank worker is slavery and as such u ain't classified as a banker.......

There's something about banking, that once u start, it's hard to stop. Alot of person's entered Same teller single, got married in it and had spent over 10yrs. Still earning below 100k with family and other responsibilities..

Bank Teller is actually better than Uber. When you get a bank teller Job, this is what it comes with:
Salary: 70,000
+ Pension: 15,000
+ Office Space: 30,000
+ Pension: 7,000
+ Transport: 30,000
+ Bonus: 5,000 or more

= 157,000 or more
----------------------------

When you get an Uber Job, this is what it comes with:
Earning: 200,000
+ Office: 0
+ Pension: 0
+ Healthcare: 0
+ Repairs and Fuel: -80,000 or more

= 120,000 or less

I have many people that work as bank tellers. So I'll give you advice and you decide on what you want.

One, being a bank teller is one of the most insecure jobs in Nigeria. Also, it has no career growth. You will earn the same amount for many years. especially if you are a contract staff.

There is high pressure on you. There is your supervisor behind you hurling orders and there is the customer before you shouting that you are wasting their time.

And if you dare make a mistake and over pay someone as a result of the pressure, you will pay back the bank with your own money.

If you make a mistake in a day and over pay someone by 50k, it means your salary for that month is already 20k.

You will work from 7 am to 7pm everyday. And you may need to work on weekends. Although banks pay extra for those weekend hours.

You could be sacked anytime. Especially if the bank feels you are no longer strong enough to bear the pressure.

They will sack you and employ a new batch of OND holders that are still very young, agile and strong.

On the positive side, if you are nice to customers, they may leave you tips after transactions. Although banks frown at this.

As for Uber driving, I don't know.

The money there is not as it used to be in the early days. But you may make more than the bank teller if you are driving your own car.

But you will need to put up with the annoying attitude of silly and rude girls who think they own you by simply riding in your car.

Your calculation on bolt driving profits are not anything near reality...

Wont advise on the bank teller job either....

The choice is yours be a slave or be your own boss. Work with bolt or Uber you go home with minimum of 10-15k everyday working 7amto 6pm.. and as you said you will network well if you know how to relate good with people.

Are you aware a bank teller is a contract staff and will most likely remain so till you exit the banking industry?/ Go for Bolt. You will have the opportunity of working at your own pace and convenience.
